Topic: Billboard music awards

Why, with all the categories they have, was there no award in blues? I mean even using their own chart lists it seems that blues was the only one omitted. Given Joe's perrenial dominance on their Blues Chart, it sure is at least a disappointment to see.  I realize that such awards programs are a lot of bs, but still a disappointment.

Uncleraven. I have been busy so was this for the TV show?They may  have the award but not featured on the show. If I recall same thing has happened to the Grammy show.they used to have blues a blues performance but I want to say it's been a few years since one was featured.
Just like if you do go into a  store that still sells CDs you are lucky to find more than a half dozen blues artists on the shelves.
I guess I am getting old but I don't always catch those shows anymore.Tired of seeing the same old same ol Taylor Swift,Bieber,Timberlake ect they trot out that dominate the shows.
Oh and of course the obligatory who's face  is Madonna going to suck on for this show?

I didn't watch the show for all the same reasons. I got the info from their "complete list of awards" on their website this morning.

Still great to watch Eddie Van Halen play his guitar.  After that, a complete waste of time........

I would have liked to see Van Halen. Unfortunately turned the awards on 20 minutes in. Drivel.

Yes EDDIE is Vanhalen.....he can still play like it's the 70's for sure.....
I have free tickets for the summer show coming here in a few months........Keny Wayne Shepherd is the opener.....:)
