Topic: Joe and Petrucci, Satriani, Vai and LoNero

Does anyone know if Joe has ever collaborated with or intends collaborating with any of those axemen??! I discovered Bill LoNero just before Joe Bonamassa and really got into his music.
Thanx,

Rob

There used to be pics in the album of Joe playing at some festival together with Joe Satriani, so I guess the answer is yes. But I cant seem to find them now.

Not that it might make any diff one way or the other, but Petrucci, LoNero, Satriani, Vai, Marino (Frank) clearly have Italian origins.....what about Bonamassa? It sounds Italian, but it might be Latin American. I read Joe's bio on the website, but it doesn't mention anything on the Bonamassa family. Just curious.

I have only been approached once about a Bonamassa T-shirt I was wearing.
I was at O'hare airport, getting on a flight to Cleveland. The guy asked who Joe Bonamassa was because his name happened to be Joe Massa. Since Massa was somewhat of a unique name, he thought there might be some related history. I couldn't help him other than telling him Joe was originally from upstate NY. I'm pretty sure this guy said that Massa was an Italian name. This may not mean anything when it comes to Joe's heritage, but the names sure are similar.

LoNero is from LA and he plays a rockier kind of music on the verge of heavy metal/hard rock, but he's quite good. I might be slapped sideways for this, but I don't dig Malmsteem at all. Sorry Malmsteem fans smile

I'm into Formula One racing a lot and Filip Massa, Ferrari driver, is from South America, but his family was originally from Italy.
