She's using some kind of pedals into an amp and an acoustic pickup or mic in the instrument. You can hear reverb and delay on some of the tracks. I'm waiting for her to break out a wah.
I and the wife listened to a lot of the tracks last night. The wife really loved it too. What a cool adaptation of an ancient instrument.
