....New D.I. box day wink
Just ordered Joe's Palmer signature box. My hopes are a great and consistent sound for live and recording situations. After having bought the Clearsonic Plexi baffle (best accessories investment in years) this Palmer unit seemed like a logical next step - if this unit does justice to my awesome Two Rock sound now, well then I'm an even happier man :-)

LOL - Ok I admit I sat there trying to work out what the 'DIB' stood for in NDIBD before I opened the thread...

Been hearing a lot about these Palmer DI boxes in other forums.  Might have to check them out.  AFAIK, these are not load boxes are they?  They just take the output of your amp and feed it to the FOH system?

Does it just sit between your head and the cab and just split the output between the cab and FOH?  I gather you still NEED a cab to take the output load and you cannot just send your head output to FOH or a recording interface?

The new Palmer unit is not a load box and MUST have a load connected or certain damage to the amp will occur. This differs from the PDI03 which is a load box also. The new unit is voiced to Joes tone but it still needs a load that is a speaker or a load box.

In my case the load will be my speaker. The box goes between speaker and amp, from the box the signal will be fed to the FOH. I am highly excited, because with approx 30 gigs per year, some consistency is more than welcome.
