Topic: POD HD500x Anyone?

Hey does anyone use a POD HD500x out there?

I would be interested in how you have it incorporated into your rig to get that big reverbicated/delayed tone.
With mine, I have been experimenting running into a tube amp and a solid state amp.

I run my guitar into a Crybaby then into the POD where it hits a stereo chorus and then splits left to the power amp of a Fender Hot Rod DeVille 212 and right into the front of a '93 Peavey Stereo Chorus 212.

The left side has the POD Amps/effects such as a Marshall JCM800 preamp model, Tube Screamer, Harmonizer, and Delay.
The right side goes into the preamp of the Peavey where it has just a pinch of crunch with reverb.
Both are blended together by the Stereo Chorus feeding both amps and of course the master volume controls.
So far I have been very happy with the results, but it still needs some tweaking to get it really dialed in.

It would be great to hear what other POD users are doing.

My singer/rhythm player used one for a couple of weeks. I thought that the pedal modelers were excellent but the amp modeling left a lot to be desired when compared to real life examples of the amps they were supposed to be emulating. Also annoying that the tap tempo switch is right next to the expression pedal.

Amp: Firebird Musical Amplifiers
Guitars:62 LP SG , 02 FB VII, JB FB I, 76 Electra Omega, 64 Firebird V, 73 LPC, 61 Custom Tele, 59 and 60 Melody Maker
Effects: Mythos Chupacabra, Strymon Deco/Flint

Re: POD HD500x Anyone?

I still use a Pod bean for practice it's easy to program and has capable sounds.I know alot of pro players are using some form of Line6 products. These can be the be all end all for gigging musicians.I imagine you can do as little or as much as you wish with the newer units.
