Re: Why I love Joe

Oh I know, you are tired of hearing me say I love Joe.  Too bad, cause I think most of you do too.   Anyway, I want to thank Joe for always giving us something to look forward too.  Be it a new tour, collaboration or album.  I am so excited about this new album.  Sweet Hubby and I are going through a time of transition as he retired from one job and is taking a part time job to keep himself busy.   Joe and his music always work to  keep us aligned and de stressed.  The anticipation of our next show this fall and the joy of knowing we have new music coming from him is wonderful.

Joe hope you enjoy your few weeks off the stage and remember we are all cheering for you

Oh is he on vacation now? Good for him; he deserves it!

Kat, many times Joe works harder off the road than he does on it. He obviously loves what he does ALL the time!

After the week I have had a really needed something to pick up my spirits.  Put in LFNIP( my particular cup of tea this month)  and on comes High Water Everywhere.  Oh my what a rousing version.  Ahhhh.  Destressed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Joe.  You never fail to amaze me, move me and lift my spirits.  Love the new album cover so thanks for the excitement this is giving us all.  Another reason to love your music and your wonderful gift.

Just might be the best cover art yet! I think so and I pre-ordered the CD T-shirt package. Coolest T-shirt since the Harley logo shirt, which I never got my hands on, but I have some of the HD style stickers and a huge window decal of that logo thanks to my favorite German Forum fan, who might still be celebrating that World Cup win.

Re: Why I love Joe

Man what a day.  Been a bit stressed out and put in that new DSOB cd and just melts the stress away.  I love Joe and how his music never fells me.  Always lifts me up or settles me down.   That's a  hard thing to do.   In his large catalog of music there is always a song that fits my mood.

Thanks Joe.  So happy that I found your music and you.

Blessings,
Mary

Re: Why I love Joe

It's been a while since I put this one up so here we go again. I have seen many musical acts in my life, some greats and  some not so great.  Most if not all one gig was enough and I no longer felt the need to see them again.

Then as you know I discovered Joe Bonamassa and  became addicted.    Saturday night 11/15/14 I saw him again  for the 7th time  (which in the Bonabuds world is like going to kindergarten instead of college but a lot for me).

I determined as I sat in the lovely Fox Theatre in St Louis that it is the expectation of perfection and greatness that keeps me coming back.  Whether he plays a 50 second intro or a full out mind bending solo, I know that I am going to get my money's worth.  Joe Bonamassa gives his heart every time.  He never phones it in.  He may have had a bad day, be sick or just bored with it all.  I as a consumer of his product( his performance) will never know that unless he says so or he later tells it in an interview or a comment on here.  So I love Joe because I have a reasonable expectation of a high caliber performance.  Then on top of that, he always does something surprising  and unexpected.  So thanks Joe for your magic, your work ethic and joy in performing.

Bumpin' it up Mary smile

I just wanted to say that with each tour, I am blown away at the diversity, and the always fresh approach that each tour/performance brings with it.

I am in awe of the intrinsic motivation Joe possesses to achieve this. Always on the road, yes .. always raising the bar.

I applaud you Mr I'm Just a Guitar Player .. for all you do on .. and off stage!

Keep enjoying yourself out there, BonaBrother

Cheers!  cool

Re: Why I love Joe

Well last night we watched the "Muddy Wolf show" on our local PBS station.   One of the reasons I love Joe is his humble heart and his knowledge of blues and music history.  Both  were  highlighted by the PBS interviewer.  It was nice that the interviewer had a knowledge of Joe and his music.  You could see Joe's joy for the music and doing the show at Red Rocks.   Nice touch to have Kevin and Roy talk to PBS also.  I know the deal with PBS  has doubled,  tripled no quadrupled his appeal to the public.

Joe you are the bestThank you for always taking us along on the journey with you.   In the past 4 years we have witnessed amazing growth and change.  I am so excited to see what comes next.

One of your cheerleaders,

Mary

Re: Why I love Joe

Long time since I have been here to post. Life has been crazy, crazy ,but I have been lurking and keep up with Joe on Twitter and Instagram.

Many changes in our lives right now so  another reason I love Joe is that I can always find a song of his to fit whatever stress or mood is going on.

So happy for him right now.  His career is going so great and his music just could not be better.

Joe if you are out there watching, Thanks again for always getting us through this lovely adventure called life.
