Great interview. He's very chatty and entertaining. Of course, there's the often told stories about his Frankenstrat and variac-tamed Marshall tone, but now straight from the horse's mouth. He also demonstrates his technique from 25:00 onwards.

He looks pretty solidly sober and back in control of his life. Good for him, it's a tough road. One of the all-time greats, imho. I've been listening to a lot of Hagar-era Van Halen and getting back into it after a long time. Some really great tunes and killer playing on those albums.
That was a great interview, thanks for sharing. His answer to the question about who he would like to play with that is no longer alive was just perfect, his father.
Must admit I completely missed Eddie along the way. My only exposure to him was a 5 second guest appearance on a Two and a Half Men episode!

Yep. I don't remember the JB interview that was in, but I definitely remember that as well.
And I agree with your's and the prior assessments. Very interesting & cool interview.
