Topic: NOSGD - JB LP Standard

Put a deposit on this a couple of days ago, a new old stock JB Les Paul Standard.

Never been sold, so the case candy package of sunglasses, pickguard and cd's seems to have long expired and never been claimed.

Fantastic guitar. The 60's neck is different but very nice and the JB/SD pickups makes it an absolute tone monster. Plays fantastic and is easy in the same league as my R6 even though it is from the regular USA factory.

Picked up a pretty nice deal on it to! 50% off in fact smile

If Joe wants to send me a signed pickguard and sunnies as I already have all the cd's, he is more than welcome. heh heh

Congrats, nice score. I bought one of the last ones available last year, so to find one this long after that is amazing.

Re: NOSGD - JB LP Standard

Cheers guys!

I would love to get Joe's input about how this guitar came about

Was the 60's neck at Joe's request or is this more of an inspired by guitar with specs for the masses.

Either way though:

Freaking. Tone. Monster.

If I'm remembering this correctly, the JB Goldtop is a recreation of a guitar that Joe's dad brought home one day when Joe was younger. The black back, miss matched knobs, etc.

Re: NOSGD - JB LP Standard

I also own JB LP Standard. The guitar is awesome tone monster. The guitar and the case, has been signed by Bonamassa. Guitar case reads "Long live the Blues - Joe Bonamassa 2013".

Where are the rest of the 399 guitar owners? My guitar is in Finland.

Re: NOSGD - JB LP Standard

I also picked up a never sold as new Gold top standard. This was just 2 months ago. So the
guitar hung around for almost 3 years being un-sold. Great 60's style neck, Duncans and
Tone Pros bridge /tailpiece. As has been said before TONE MONSTER..Cannot say enough
good things about this guitar. Ranks right up there with my R9 in quality. It's a shame these
are flying under the radar. How about someone starting a Regisitry here on the forum for
this series as well..
Cheers
