Thanks for the link Doug.  Been looking forward to this for quite a while.  Really hoping for a tour to back this album up.  I missed Randy the last time he came to town.

Hey Doug. Its called Heavy Blues and The Blues Magazine 19 has a track on the CD that comes with it - Confessin to the Devil featuring Jeff Healey.

The magazine cover has a picture of 12 musicians who are the Class of 1967 and says "how they invented Heavy Blues". Another new genre smile

I did read about this a bit ago.  I am wondering about the track with Jeff Healey?  Love to know the background there, since Jeff passed away a few years ago.

Thanks for that info Kenny.

Here's a review of the album Steve by Tony Conley. I believe Jeff's wife gave Randy the track to work on. I saw Jeff a few times in the UK and once in his Toronto club a few weeks before he died. Sadly missed.

Kenny:

Glad you got to see him, I used to live in the same town as him and never got the chance.  He also had a great radio show.  So that's Joe, Randy and Jeff.

This struck me a bit funny "Joey 'Baby Bones' Bonamassa".  I've not heard that one before.

Great review, ups my anticipation of this album even more.

Great interview in there .. thanks for sharing Kenny

Some screaming guitar solos from Randy and a slate of 'bonafide' six string superstars

Love the inclusion of the free d/l track w/o the solo .. enabling an 'add ur own solo' to the track for a contest in each of the towns toured. Couple hundred epiphones given away, ur chance to do ur solo with the band in ur town .. so kewl!

Cheers!  cool

Sounds very cool, thanks for sharing.

Re: Randy Bachman Heavy Blues -2015

I saw Jeff quite a bit in the early 80's at a local bar in Toronto, where there might have been 40 people at best.
I stopped seeing him once he got popular and couldn't get tickets without being way back.

I miss his playing a lot.

I'm checking on Randy's tickets.. he's playing about 1.5hrs west of me in June but the ticket sales web site isn't up yet for ticket sales.
