What happens to a guitar that has been Tom Murphy aged with checking, when the natural checking appears?

Are any of them even old enough to have natural checking? If properly stored, correct humidity, temperature etc. how long does it take for checking to occur?

Seems like it would have a lot less natural checking since the artificial aging releases a lot of the finish stress by already breaking it up into many, many smaller segments. Kind of like sawing stress crack is into a concrete driveway or sidewalk.
