Topic: Joe B and Davy K

Joe is arguably the best Blues Rock guitarist the world has ever known.  There is a younger blues rock guy who is endorsed by Paul Reed Smith, Davy Knowles.  He made a name for himself a few years ago and has been tearing up the fretboard and the mic ever since.  I'd love to see Joe and Davy play.  Davy held is own with Warren Haynes and Joe Satriani on the stage, just to name a few...

I love Davy! I'm fairly new to his stuff, but I feel he's very underrated. It would be cool if he were to join Joe on stage at the Chicago Theater in April since Davy lives in Chicago (Preferably the Friday Show because I will be at that one lol) He's a super nice guy too!

Re: Joe B and Davy K

If you do a search here on the forum you will find a ton of stuff about Davy Knowles and Back Door Slam (look for stuff from 2008).  At one point much of the "Other Artists" section was quite crammed with stuff about him.  I was lucky enough to see BDS open for Mule twice, and Davy play with Mule once. Also saw them a few other times.  Good stuff.  BDS did open for Joe in I think Dallas in 2008(?). This was back in the day when Joe had openers.  BDS was supposed to be at Hot August Blues in 2009, a line up which included Joe and Derek Trucks.  So much excitement was generated by this awesome lineup that a forum get-together of epic proportions resulted-people from all over the country and some from Europe attended this wonderful show.  Davy, unfortunately, cancelled kind of last minute (which didn't sit too well with some people, although when the day came I don't think any of us missed him very much.  I do still have the poster from that show with the band's name on it).

Anyways, Davy does have a history here - you just have to look for it.
