Topic: John Mellencamp

My wife and I saw John Mellencamp at the Louisville Palace on Friday night (1-23-15).  He and his band were awesome.  They had a neat stage set up.  Old amps (blonde Fender Bandmasters), old drums, and mostly hollow body electrics.  Throw in a few tuxedos and they had great stage presence.  They rocked and John sounded great.  I have always thought John's music was even better live and this show was no exception.  He had people dancing all over the place.

One negative, two rude women in front of us who acted like they did not even know there was a show going on.  Talked through everything.  Finally, the band got loud enough to drown them out.  I am losing my patience for rude, self-centered people at concerts.

I watched a "concert" from his studio on AXS TV yesterday.  I've never been a huge fan of his but I appreciate his music and even moreso now then when I was younger.  He has a pretty impressive catalog.  I'm sure that it was a great concert and it's too bad that you had to deal with people distracting you from the show.
