Topic: The Joe shrine

Anyone out there got a shrine going in there music room, I'm starting a mini one, but dont want to look the fool, if I'm the only one. My kids are brutal on me, since it's not really me to do such a thing. And if you want to add to my collection, I'll send you my home address. A little story on each piece would be cool. I'll even reimberse your postage!

Shred

P.S....I finally got a room other than the garage to call my own, of course the dog sleeps in here too, but he dont mind, hasnt said a word yet..lol

Re: The Joe shrine

Hey Shred...F1 here...been layin low...wonder why.
Anyway, yeah, you met my twin daughters at the SF show backstage.
They insist I have a "crush" on Joe, an obsession...wonder why again.
The guy is an amazing guitar player with an extraordinary vocal that just keeps getting better.

My shrine is...

4 multi photo frames in the studio from the SF and San Luis Obispo shows.(CLOSEUPS)
An autographed ticket stub and cell phone photos from backstage with Joe and Carmine in San Luis Obispo, a 1990 Fender Stratocaster pick guard beautifully autographed by Joe backstage in SF at the Palace of Fine Arts(I believe you and Dawg were their when that took place), a birthday card to my daughters from Don Ritter at Category 5 Amps that the "girls" were able to coax Joe into signing that nite,  of course Audreys (one of my twin girls) tennis shoes autographed "Joe" on the right toe and "Bonamassa" on the left toe, and of course one "family" shot of myself, my daughters and Joe(who blinked by the way) its a GREAT!!!bad shot, and lastly, a "one of a kind so far"(Joe is the only other guy who has one) shirt from CATEGORY 5 and Don Ritter with the JB emblem sent to me from Don Ritter for purchasing the FIRST JB Signature amp after Joe of course, and one to two weeks from now I will be receiving that JB Signature amp and will send out photos with the tone reports...that head will compliment the "shrine " in the studio.
As time goes on we are hoping (my band) to be out in the Contra Costa area as a hard hitting Blues band with many Bonamassa tunes being covered(Joe said OK, I asked him personally, no really)...and that JB Signature amp just might surface...I'll stop there as I am not tryin to use Joes Forum to advance my own band...however this will lead to promoting Joes music (Street Team)
but as far as my band goes, we'll promote on the local level...

Thats a great post Shred...I'm sure you'll get alot of "hits" on it ...
Who's gonna top who???

Hey, til next time, take care...you too Dawg, hope all is well...Fandango

CURRENTLY: CAT5 JB PLEXI 50W, CAT5 1900 50W, Split 4x12 cab.
Fender Strat, Tele. Gibson LP including ole #174 JB Goldtop...

In heaven right now with the CAT5 rig!!!

Re: The Joe shrine

Well since you brought it up Shred, I have a dedicated music room. Painted it blood red with a black custom bar that goes from wall to wall. It really came out sweet. Cream ceiling and nice cushy cream carpet. I have several autographed cds, posters, beer bottles, drum sticks.   Duarte, Marino, Corey Stevens, Some guy named Lopez, Philip Sayce, Joe of course, Kelly Richey, Alice Cooper, Reb Beach (Winger, Whitesnake)  I have to take some pics so you can see what I've done. It was my first real attempt at home remodeling and I'm quite proud of the results.    Thanks for asking.

OK I went and took some pics. Didn't bother cleaning up.

Re: The Joe shrine

Well Shred having seen my makeshift, I'll just call it memorabilia area, I'll just give a brief description. I've got a couple of set lists, one autographed, a sloe gin poster, as you recall I got away with the poster on the door at Moe's before you got it. That poster pails in comparison to the ULTRA POSTER from Feather Falls. A JB VIP pass and a copy of the infamous Smokin' Joe Concert & Dance Committee flyer. Also a few various picks, but they're not gonna get pinned to the wall. I should add the liner notes from my copy of Bloodline with a personal note from Joe on it before it gets lost or something.

Looks cool Jeff, giving me some ideas. As soon as my daughter moves out AGAIN! I'll be able to have a larger room to use. I really need to get a good camera, mine sucks.

Shred,

You don't think your wife will mind you sleeping with Patty and me under your pillow? And of course you know the picture I will send is the one of Patty, Joe and me. So technically you would be sleeping with Patty, Joe and me......now isn't that a bit strange???? lol

But seriously, let me know if I can contribute to the shrine in any way!
