And ain’t that a beautiful thing?”

Re: Top 5 gigs in 2014

Peach Fest - can't split this one up because so many interactions among the bands (Govt Mule, Allman Brothers and Tedeschi Trucks)

Hebden Bridge Blues Festival - great set by Virgil and the Accelerators, but the post show jams that went on half the night included Aynsley Lister and Jon Amor - great weekend

Virgil and the Accelerators at the Flowerpot, Derby - awesome show and Mr Meerkat spent the evening on Virgil's amp

Joe at Hampton Beach - a small venue for Joe these days, he really seems to enjoy playing here and it shows

Tom Petty at Fenway Park, Boston - an iconic band in an iconic place

honorable mention:  Zac Brown, also at Fenway.  These are a great bunch of musicians and they played their hearts out for 3 hours.  NOT just a country band by any means

Sandy

"There's a lot of people that are in so much of a hurry to be, I guess, to be famous or that they don't want to take the time to learn to play and do all that. They'd rather just knock it down off a computer and maybe get on a game show and get famous..That's fine if that's what you want to do.
"We're more old school than that. We like creating the sounds."  - Tom Petty
