Topic: Six Strings Down Tour - Tab Benoit, Tommy Castro & Samantha Fish

Went to this show last night at the Birchmere in Alexandria, VA and have to say that if this tour is anywhere near you, go see these guys (and girl wink )!! Three great musicians having fun playing some awesome songs. First time for us seeing Tab Benoit and Tommy Castro and it was a real treat. Tab is hilarious and told a couple of really funny stories in between songs. He and Tommy play off each other really well trading solos and they each took turns singing so got a nice sampling of songs from both of them. Samantha Fish was the opening act and she also came out at the end and played two songs with them. Bought Tommy's new cd, The Devil You Know. Joe is featured on one of the tracks, "I'm Tired",  which is cool. Real fun night all around and great to hang out with The General (Bob) as well.

Thanks to this site and people like Natasha I have been introduced to so many great new artists.  Well, new to me at least.  Really enjoying Samantha Fish, and Tab & Tommy are great.  It is fantastic to see two Telecaster Thinlines on stage together!  Enjoyed that jam.

Chances of them approaching my little part of the world are thin at best, but with the coverage Joe's fans offer, it helps.

I feel the same way about this forum. There are so many artists that we have become aware of through this forum. It's an incredible resource for what's going on in the live music scene. Happy I can add to it.
