Congrats Nic! I still remember when you announced you were going to play college football, I forget exactly how you worded it, but basically as an "old" guy, lol.

I'm not sure if everyone realizes how difficult it is to go back and play college football at 37 years old. Thats pretty damn impressive, and the Championship is icing on the cake.

On my 35th birthday, I played in a college national championship football game.

Before the game, I played the national anthem on my black Flying V

As placeholder for an extra point, the snap went over my head. The other team got the ball and began to run for what would have been 2 points. I made a tackle, and we ended up winning 14-12!

Just a dream come true.
Rick, I saw you were listening to the game, and I REALLY appreciate all the support from this JB Forum. Jane started it last year when she bought some gear from me during a fundraiser.

Before me and another student started this team, Oakland didn't have football. We started a club team, and in our second year, we are the only team in NCFA history to go undefeated and win the National Championship.

So proud and humbled by your support. This forum is like family.

Thanks all... I found out I was nominated for an All-American award for special teams... but I didn't get it. lol
Our team did get 7 All-Americans.
