Re: Pre-sale Spring 2015 US/Canada Tour

Ended up with front row balcony for both Minneapolis shows. Vegas was a little screwy. Kept trying. Got 6th row center on floor for Sat and 4th row left on floor for Friday. Then Phil tried again and got 2nd row left on floor for Sat. Looks like we might have two extra tickets to sell for Saturday. Wish the seating charts had the seat numbers listed. Have no idea where in the rows these seats are.

I brain cramped and forgot all about the presale until 11:20. 15th Row Center for Phoenix. Better than I had feared when I realized I messed up.

You didn't miss out on anything, holdem. I was on at 10:00am for Phoenix and immediately got nothing available. Another try got me 10th row in the far outside section (7). By 10:30, some opened back up in the middle. I ended up 11th row (6th row from the Pit), section 3. There are still tickets available almost as good as what I got.

Cheers,
Jeff

Finally got in for the FOX Theater in Detroit. 2nd row stage left mezzanine (by choice). One happy Motor City madman and wife. There's a bunch of great seats left for the Detroit show. What a great 40th wedding anniversary present!!!

I keep looking at the tickets I bought and printed off for the Milwaukee show.  They say Row A, seats 1 & 2...  I keep expecting them to change, but I'm pretty sure they're real!  Never been in the front row for Joe!  The pre-sale code for Milwaukee is JOE15MIL.  That's almost what I had to pay!  lol  At least I didn't have to pad a scalper's pocket.  Now I gotta wait for about 13 months of Wisconsin winter to pass...

Got front row for Columbus,  Georgia two years ago at face value, I could count the laces on his purple Converses during the acoustic set and later could see his jaw quiver during a solo and see him drinking a glass  of red wine and talking to his guitar tech during the drum solo. You'll love those seats!

Re: Pre-sale Spring 2015 US/Canada Tour

FWIW, the "Tour Dates" listings show Seattle as being in Canada. Did they secede? Do you need a passport to go to Joe's show there? I clearly haven't been paying attention enough to the news if I missed the secession of Seattle.

I managed to get ROW G for Detroit. btw i used GUITAR for my presale code and that worked.
Luckily, someone I know forwarded me the presale notification... I am unsure why I didn't get it in my email sad

Re: Pre-sale Spring 2015 US/Canada Tour

I don't know why I did it, but I just looked at stub hub and it's just so irritating to see all these wonderful seats offered there for such exorbitant amounts of money. The whole front row center section of the Saturday Vegas show is available for a ridiculous price per ticket. It's no wonder none of us could get anything good when the scalpers are so entrenched in the ticketmaster system that they get first pick at everything. I thought it was great how the Red Rocks show had "will call" for the first 12 or so rows. That really seemed to eliminate the scalpers because the person who bought the tickets had to be present the day of the show to pick them up. Wish that will call method could be used for all the presales.

Re: Pre-sale Spring 2015 US/Canada Tour

I thought I scored big getting row's B and C for the Chicago Theater, only to find out that the rows start with AA! GRRR! Just looked on Stubhub to see what they had and there are quite a few seats left for the pit section. The amount of money they are charging though is quite ridiculous. I'm so confused how these people get these tickets so quickly? Oh well, seeing Joe from any seat is worth the price for me.

Re: Pre-sale Spring 2015 US/Canada Tour

I'm fairly certain that the Chicago Theatre scalps their own tickets. Those pit seats never even make it to Ticketmaster for sale. With 2 shows there...I couldn't pull a single pit seat in the pre sale or general sale.  And the pit there is four rows, a decent amount of seats. Something is wrong with that picture.

Re: Pre-sale Spring 2015 US/Canada Tour

The only places where I have heard that people got front row seats are venues that don't use ticketmaster such as Milwaukee and Seattle. And in Grand Rapids they even offer you resale tickets on the regular ticketmaster sale site. They don't even bother with a third party like stubhub. It's like they are throwing them in your face. "Here are ones we had our people buy and now we are offering them back to you for double the money". It's just insane.

The Chicago way unfortunately. There is definitely something shady about their process.
To add to the ticket purchase morass, I assume the local PBS station (WTTW) has again locked up the bulk of the main floor seats for a fundraiser. In exchange, Joe gets WTTW airplay for one of his DVD's (Red Rocks?). This was first done with the airing of RAH #1, which was the springboard (IMO) for Joe's rise into the public consciousness.
For the rest of us, at least in Chicago, it has a different meaning: mediocre seats at best.
I may have to use my last litho voucher.

I've read on this forum that even with a litho voucher you can't count on decent seats in Chicago. But who knows for sure what this round will be like.
