Topic: Another 'proud dad' moment for me...

Just this week my son (who is now 14 years old) came to me a declared that he was going to tackle John Mayer's Neon for a school music assessment.

He spent a few days rehearsing for it.  This is a video of one of his early efforts yesterday:

Unfortunately I couldn't record the actual performance today as it was a closed school grading session, but he showed my his assessment sheet from his music teacher who is usually a hard marker.

The assessment is usually out of 15, but his teacher 'added' another 5 markers and gave him a 20/15, an A++.  He's never done that before, and in fact, the teacher told me later that he marked him according to Year 12 student standards (my son is in Year 9).

I am one proud dad today! smile
