While looking through the Red Rock clips I came across this track from Bernie Marsden's new album featuring Joe...

The whole album is excellent.  This track 'Shine' is undoubtedly one of the highlights and if you get the 'deluxe' edition, there is an instrumental version of it as a bonus track.

The album was recorded at the famous Abbey Road studios and I know Joe just stopped by for a day to do his bit for a mate.

I like the tone better than anything I have heard from him for a long time.  There's an urgency to it and sounds less processed.  Nice piece of playing (that should have gone on longer !!!!)

I have been doing a 'Google' search for his deluxe album.....am I right in thinking that it is only available as a download?  I was hoping to pick the CD up.

Maybe you're right - I didnt really look as I don't really buy CD's any more.

Having clocked up over 5000 of them, I now just stream from a couple of online services.  CD quality and after an initial investment in a well known multi-room system, I now save a fortune !!

Amazon only has the 'deluxe' for download, so I guess you could buy the CD and then just download the 2 bonus tracks.

Re: Joe and Bernie Marsden

Joe sure mined those BCC days for riffs. Good stuff.
