Topic: Let's launch Austin Young

Hi all
I am posting this only to ask you all to support this new young Guitar player his name is Austin Young. Check him out on his Facebook page. I donated one of my JB aged gold tops to Joe's Keep the Blues Alive foundation last November. I asked Joe to help find a deserving young player that had the chops and the character that would take this gift and go on to make great music and inspire others to keep this music that I love going forward. We only ask that someday that Austin pay forward. I would like to thank Joe for his hospitality for letting me be a part of this and invite me to rehearsal. Then I nearly had a heart attack when he handed me Skinner to noodle on. I would also like to thank my new friend John Catt of Blue Star connection for helping us find Austin. I am truely humbled by the work he does with young kids with life threatening illnesses to give them a boost by the gift of instruments. He is truely one of a kind.
So please I ask all my fellow Bonamassa faithful to support Austin by going to Amazon and purchase his cd "Blue as can Be" if you can purchase multiple copy's and give to your friends lets all get mobilized to help this young man push ahead. I know after meeting Austin and his mom Krisanne he is the real deal so humble but so so talented. This is our chance to show the big record companies how we the fans make the decisions not them. Also check out the Blue Star connection the work that John Catt does for these young kids is unbelievable he is truely one of my hero's.
For me it is all about the music and how it can save the soul.
Thanks again Joe what can I say but only thanks
Cheers Ron

Wow!  You selected the right word!  Thanks for posting the video link.

Looks like KTBA, Joe and Ron found their man for that JBLP ... it's gonna be smokin'

Re: Let's launch Austin Young

Been a fan of his for awhile. I believe he was 15 when I first saw him play. If you do a search you'll find some posts from 2010 on this young man.

When I was a child I spoke as a child, But all I heard was how I should get ahead,
Now growing up it ain't anything but all This indecision with these debts and doubts
And worries hanging over my head. When I was a child I spoke as a child,
I wish I could remember what I said.
