Topic: Carmine in Bowie documentary

"David Bowie 5 Years" debuted, in the States, on Showtime, this weekend. Although I know Carmine played with Bowie, I was jolted awake when I heard his voice smile I'm planning on re-watching so I can catch glimpses of Glam Carmine smile smile  http://blogs.denverpost.com/ostrow/2014 … ime/19560/

Re: Carmine in Bowie documentary

Been waiting on this since seeing the commercials on Showtime during my favorite show currently airing....Ray Donovan.

Re: Carmine in Bowie documentary

Watched the Bowie Doc tonight. Very interesting stuff about a very complex guy. No throwback shots of Carmine, just some recent input about his time touring and recording Let's Dance. Was interesting there was no mention of SRV's involvement.

Re: Carmine in Bowie documentary

I went to the Bowie exhibition in London and they had some video of Carmine during his DB era.
Let's just say there appeared to be a perm involved and leave it at that.

Re: Carmine in Bowie documentary

Very good Documentary and made me appreciate more Bowie's contributions to Rock n Roll. Before I always considered John Lennon's description as being just Rock n Roll in a dress. Always liked the Let's Dance album but never was a fan of Bowie's. If you just like Rock history it is worth watching even if Carmine wasn't in it.

Re: Carmine in Bowie documentary

Tonight (Sat 2/6/16) at 9 pm EST ... on both Palladia (now called MTV Live) and VH1 Classic ... the David Bowie documentary first airing (for these channels) ...

David Bowie:  5 Years in the Making of an Icon

Documentary explores five seminal years across Bowie’s extensive career, with each year illustrating not only the source of his inspiration, but also where those ideas led him.

I am assuming this is the same Documentary that debuted on Showtime back in August '14  (don't know if it was cut down for this broadcast ... most info on it says it has a 59 min runtime ... tonight's airing is 90 mins with the commercials.)

"I was in Space for less than 2 weeks … and suddenly Jeaniene’s back … half the Band is off the gd wagon … we have comedians opening for us … and the nice kid that ran our website is now a kleptof’nmaniac.  Boy ... did you guys miss me!!"  Phil Valentine - Road Manager - Staton House Band
