Topic: Judas Priest!!

Well, I just won free tickets to see these guys on Nov. 6 at the Allen Event Center, which is just outside of Dallas. Never saw Priest before, so I'm looking forward to this one!! Steel Panther is opening, and from what I've heard, they're a parody of alot of the 80s hair metal bands. Anyone else here seen Priest before?

I last saw Judas Priest back in 2005. They're like a parody of 80s Judas Priest and were blown off stage by the Scorpions.
First saw them back in '78 just as they were discovering the leather look, which was just before they first became a parody of themselves with British Steel...

I saw Priest maybe half a dozen times in the late 70s up until about 81 when I was going through a bit of a teenage metal phase. They had a run of four great albums from Sad Wings Of Destiny up to Killing Machine. I thought British Steel was a bit of a letdown in comparison and then just lost interest and got into Lou Reed instead. Not really heard anything Priest have done since the early 80s. I've always liked the twin guitars of Downing and Tipton, but Halford's screaming vocal got a bit too over-powering for me, lol.

Richie Faulkner who replaced the retired KK is a pretty decent player and fits in well.  They still put on a great show and I quite like the new album. 'Redeemer of Souls'

You'll have a great time at the show, I'm sure.   (Steel Panther are a hoot !!)

Mid-80s. I like their tunes but seeing them live once was enough for me. The part I didn't like were the moves that KK and Glenn were busting in unison. Stupid, I know, but it put me over the edge.

Saw them when I was in college.A outdoor concert was moved inside due to bad weather and so happened they were one of the bands .Was right up in front of the stage for the show.They were good.Mist  have been 1980 or 81.I was never really a fan but I did like them live.
