DOH!!!

Now that will be forever stuck in my mind with this release.

I thought that's what it was in reference to???? hmm

hmm My original thoughts centered on something akin to Miles Davis' landmark album of jazz modalities, "Kind Of Blue."

Good question Lukelele. Its about that time with little videos from the studio.Short snippets of some songs.Of course the 2 songs being played live are serving that purpose too.

I was thinking the same thing.  Time to start album promotion.  I've been hoping to see video #1 in a series of "The Making of Different Shades of Blue" on youtube soon.  Nothing yet...

I wonder when pre-sales will start and what kind of packages will be offered.

I AM IN!!!!!!!!

Awesome, can't wait.

Re: The New Album - "Different Shades Of Blue" - Sept. 22nd Release

Never quite understood pre-sales.  Do people that order that way get the album sooner than everyone else?  What is the advantage to the fan.  I understand why the artist would want to have pre-sales, they collect revenue before it is released, but again what is the value for the person buying the album.  I'm going to buy it either way, as a business man I'm just curious.  I understand selling tickets for a show 9 months in advance.  The artist finances the tour with advanced sales and the fan is guaranteed a primo seat.  Just an interesting business model.

The only thing we deserve, is an opportunity.  Everything else has to be earned.

It ships about a week early if bought through Joe's store during the presale.

What's in it for me as a buyer is 1) I support the artist (or retailer - I've preordered some of Joe's CDs though an indy record shop which I really like and want to keep in business), 2) I get it 'as soon as possible'.  Granted, I'm not sure I've preordered very many albums.. most of Joe's... The Aristocrats' two albums... that's about it...  it's fun to do, though.  It puts a special date on the calendar to look forward to.

Not a big deal, but it's kind of fun.

Thanks for DIScovering that! smile  I believe that was the skinny.  Perhaps it is a late addition?! A jam in the studio a la how Key To The Highway was not a scheduled track to "Layla & Other Assorted Love Songs," but once Duane and Eric started jamming, the tape started rolling (a little late, hence the fade in)?!

As Mrs B is not home today I have it turned all the way up to 11. The vocals and tone are magnificent and the neighbours have not complained yet.

The Amazon MP3 download is a bonus and already on my iPod for driving along to.
