I watched this from the link on the Download Festival thread last night.  Loved it!

When did the band change the arrangement of Song of Yesterday to mix in The Who at the end?  Sounded like strains of Won't Get Fooled Again or something.  That little development caught me by surprise smile.

They started putting that in last summer when they were doing the South American tour. Wish Joe would do this song here in the States. He only seems to do it in other countries. I would love to see it!

Re: Joe's whole performance at Pink Pop Festival

Thanks for the link Natasha! Watching it right now and it's freaking awesome! I soooo wish he'd do Song of Yesterday here in the states! What I wouldn't give to hear that live! Looks like the fans are getting pretty into it as well. Im sure he gained a bunch of new fans at this festival. During Song of Yesterday it looks like he got a new guitar with his name on the fret board. Maybe i've just never seen that one before, but it's super glossy and pretty!

Super performance!  Thanks for posting.       cool

Wonder if not playing Song of Yesterday in the states has anything to do with copyright or licensing-type limitations?

Also, what is the John Henry guitar with the black pick-ups?  Must have missed that one coming through along the way.

That was great! Thanks for posting.

But I must say, those pink-soled boots @ 5:15 were unsettling. yikes, big_smile

What's the story on the green guitar in the first few tunes? I don't think I saw that one in Hartford.

And it was great to hear the guitar solo in BOJH without all the hootin' and hollerin' from the audience.

Re: Joe's whole performance at Pink Pop Festival

I really liked the show. I like how Joe just seems to "bring it" when playing at festivals.

Dont need a helmet to get me through life-walk across the water blame it on foolish pride.
