Rocket, The General was with us smile So nice to see him. He's feeling better and slowly recuperating after his heart operation. And you're right, having Joe immediately say he liked the video was just the coolest thing ever! He certainly knows how to make me a happy person smile

Wow, Wow and Wow.  That Joe is trying to live up to his youthful name of Smokin' Joe.   Love Blues Deluxe.  Wow.   Natasha and Phil so happy for both of you.  I know how much you do to promote Joe by sharing his videos and live performances. So happy that he acknowledges this and shares his  appreciation of it.   How nice of Bill to share the meet and greet pass.  You too are so great  and keep those videos coming.  I agree that it seems that Joe has grown into his skin so to speak on this tour. It was really hot in the Count Basie Theatre last night and of course Joe puts everything into his performance. By "Django/Mountain Time" his suit was soaked through and you could see the sweat trickling down his forehead. Thanks Joe, for coming so close to the edge of the stage when you played "Django", it was amazing!

Well, I have to say that made my day! Bill and I then left to go join Phil, Cathy & Bob for something to eat before the show.
The show was wonderful. We had front row and the stage was kind of high and there were a couple of monitors right in front of us so it was a little hard to film some songs. I decided to do just a few from the acoustic and only the ones of the electric of which I know Joe tends to come over to the side of the stage we were sitting at. Well, come over, he did, he was practically right up to the edge playing his solos right in front of us! It is so cool when he does that! The crowd was pretty well behaved. Joe had to shush them a little bit on the quiet part of "John Henry", and luckily they did finally shut up. Then at the very end of his solo something on stage made a really funny loud sound like a train and Joe cracked up laughing. He finished the solo, came up to the mic and said, "Who's ever taking the "L" train, the f*cking thing's here!" It was so funny and it was so cool to see Joe laughing and smiling about it. When Joe called the guys out to do their bow at the end, Tal carefully threw a drumstick to me and Joe came over, bent down and put the pick he just used on "Mountain Time" into Phil's hand. It was so nice of him to do that, really made Phil happy. We then left with Cathy, Bill & Bob and hung out for a little while at a bar nearby and talked about how great the show was and how cool it was to see Joe having a good time. It was such a great night and a super way to end our 6 show Spring Tour run. Thank you Joe!!!!!!!!

It was so nice to see you and Phil at the show! It was also great to meet Cathy and The General himself! I'm glad that you were able to join meet with the M & G. What a great show it was. You could feel the energy pouring out of Joe and by end of the show, it was definitely showing. I was right up front on the side and had a blast. I watched video of Ballad of John Henry last night and it was absolutely amazing! Next show is Saturday for me, until then!! smile smile

Really great show , I enjoyed the two new songs but what happened to the encore ?
This was show number 13 for me every other show had two songs for the encore last night only one song .

Happy to report the Cardiac Crew also had a grand time, even though my GPS took us one a few, unplanned, tours of NJ. smile
The venue was a fine little theater with super acoustics. Bravo to the new soundman. Nothing was too loud, and you could hear everything. Joe is getting brave. There are various moments when he ramps it down to barely audible, hoping that the audience will restrain themselves and be quiet. That's really asking too much for a few. Last night's weren't obnoxious, they just couldn't hold it in any longer. lol But a mild reprimand from Joe controlled the beasts smile There were lots of smiles during the show. Everybody on and off the stage seemed to be in good spirits. The few, minor, oops moments, didn't cause a skip. I was expecting "Midnight Blues", which I love, and got "Blues Deluxe", which I love, lol. I liked the new songs too and am anxious to get my hands on the new CD. Based on last night's workout, I can see how Joe is maintaining that slim figure. Having your own chef had helped everybody look and feel healthy. Smart move. The crew size is now so big that the food tent was big enough for a wedding reception!! smile As usual, meeting up with ,(NOT keeping up with), the Cornblatts helps start and finish a show in the right spirit. So happy to see Joe Beacon and to finally meet Bill. Bill, let me know what color dress I need smile  All I ask is, What is wrong with Syracuse???? What a buzz kill   sad

  Django & mountain time are always together then just got paid that is how every show has been that I have gone to.
  No big deal  , like I said it was a great show as usual .

OMG!  What a great show Red Bank was.  Saw many other familiar fans too!  We all seemed to be under Joe's spell.  Red Bank is a cool town and we'll be back.  Joe politely signaled the loud crowd to quiet down.  Their "egotistical yells for their 5 second of fame" was sooooo annoying.  Thank God my lover boy prevented me from yelling shut the "f" up! 

Unfortunately the theater people sold bottle water without the cap and my bottle of water spilled onto my good camera and broke.  Couldn't get great photos.  Luckily I had my little one for emergency.  The servers told us they had to take the cap so we don't throw the bottles onto the stage!   WHAT???? It's not like we're teenagers here.  Eric Clapton once played in Jersey City (years ago) and he was so drugged up/drunk his associates had to help him get on stage to perform.  Now, that crowd (young at the time) threw anything they could at Clapton because he was so bad!!! 

I wish I knew how I could post a picture I took of the crowd on this post when Joe's stage lights where staring down at them.  It would be pretty good to have Joe see his fans! I'm still a bit slow with tech.

Welcome to the forum. Sorry we didn't meet at the show. They did the same thing with the water bottle lids at Crossroads, yet they had beer in glass bottles! I have poor cyberskills myself, but I'm sure you'll get some help wink
