Re: An Older "Joe" Song You Would Love to Hear Played Live

Definitely REconsider Baby. With the addition of Rick to the band, it would be awesome with the organ. The end of that song and the organ surge still blows me away everytyime I hear it.

People in trafffic still trying to figure out why I'm sliding my hands back and forth across the dashboard (Mobile B3!).

The River...this is one of my favorite live songs of Joe's, and I think it should be a staple of his live shows, and I really mean that!

(Is this OK honey?)

(I really want to hear Ball Peen Hammer and Dirt in My Pocket live, but don't tell Susan)

Geko,
I'm so sorry to hear about your sweet dog.  We lost our sweet little dog, Mitzi, back in June.  It was 2 days before my birthday.  Worst birthday of my life. I lost my most loyal friend. She was 13 1/2 year old little red dachshund.  Anyway, we still think about her alot, but we now have two little dogs (Drake & Nina) that are keeping us pretty busy.  I know how bad it feels and I really feel for you.   sad

"Asking Around for You" has been in Joe's setlist lately, so maybe he'll still be playing that for you the next time you see him.

I'd really love to hear I Know Where I Belong again-  I absolutely love that song... I'd also have to say Pain and Sorrow and My Mistake (I'm pretty sure he's never played it live though sad but its a great song anyways that would be amazing live!) also I'd love to see some more slide again...

Re: An Older "Joe" Song You Would Love to Hear Played Live

Mountain Time is my all time favourite Joe song, he has reworked it in the last twelve months, more of a sitar feel to the solos. The emotion that song conjures up in me is overwhelming.

Pain and sorrow is the only song I've not heard him do live. The album version just melts my speakers each time I put it on. Joe any chance you can play it at the Pacific Road gig in February PLEASE. If not, I'll be at Crewe and Manchester too so you can play it there if you want!!!! Maybe Carmine and the boys are not tooled up for it? Who knows!

Counting the days / weeks / months to my next Joe gig! We can't wait to get you back in the UK!

I'd go for any of those, plus The River (haven't seen Joe play that in concert for a long while) or Your Funeral my Trial which is just a great song to get those feet a-marching.  On the newer songs I hope Sloe Gin stays in the set for ever.  I think of it as Joe's equivalent of 'Stairway to Heaven' or 'Comfortably Numb'.

Geko,
I still think about our little dachshund Mitzi every day. We had her for 13.5 years (since she was 8 weeks old). It's been a few months now, and we have 2 new dogs, but I know Mitzi will always be that special dog in my life.

When you have had a chance to finish greiving, you should think about giving another dog a good home. Not to replace Baby, but to give another dog the chance at a good life.

Hang in there buddy.

Dear Geko,
I am so sorry to read about your dog.  I remember very clearly you taking him to the show.  It was such a great story you wrote.  I know how attached we can become to our pets.  They are always there when you need them.  Give it a little time and then go get yourself a new puppy to shower you with love and affection.  I'll be thinking of you my friend. Luv ya Patty
