It’s most gratifying when we can look back on our adventure and feel proud of what we have accomplished (thus far).
How ironic that on May 9, 1977, I was a 17 year old starting a new job at a paper mill. As a sideline, my friends and I would often play (as a lot of u can relate to) the high school dances, the occasional wedding, bar gigs (once of legal age), and during the summers we would play outside events (Van clubs were all the rage back then .. lol). It was a lot of fun doing what we loved to do, albeit just a hobby.
Here we are, just 37 years later, and I'm still at that paper mill (one more year .. lol). It’s rare I pick up the bass anymore .. and I’m okay with that. I have lots of hobbies .. lol
I prefer to listen to music done by folks just like urself .. those musicians who have chosen to utilize their great gifts to entertain us.
Mr. Bonamassa (yes Joe, I said Mr .. and don’t tell me that’s ur Dad’s name .. lol), u have had a 37 year adventure (thus far) that I’m sure has been filled with great joys, achievements, and is still a ton of fun .. doing what u love to do. I know I am certainly enjoying ur adventure .. lol
My wish for u, my friend .. may u be blessed with another 37 years of doin what it is u love to do, and sharing that wonderful gift with the JB fans everywhere .. enjoying every minute.
Happy Birthday Joe! .. Have an awesome day!
Keep the blues alive, Brother .. see u on the 24th!
