Nice! I have the meet and greet with Joe so I'm not sure where I'm sitting yet. I was somewhat disappointed those type of seats were in the second orchestra section in Cleveland.  My friend and I (Christine is over the pond with her mother) will probably be at the diner nearby after the meet and greet if anyone wanted to meet.  For once I'm on my "home" turf

Re: Red Bank NJ

I happened to find out tix were on sale early for this show and took a look. I have a pal, Rudi who's a very infrequent poster here in NJ and couldn't resist. Dead center front row, then gave him a shout and asked if he was going. big_smile
If there is a preshow meet, let me know and I'll pass it on to him.

Bob, Tarus52, and I will be there. So there's a diner nearby that you recommend as a meeting place Bump? I've never been to Red Bank, so I'm happy to have a local give me the inside info wink I can't wait!!!! smile

The Broadway Diner is on the same street (Monmouth) a few blocks from the Basie.  It happens to be one of the few 24/7 diners in the area but quite good.  After living in NYC moving to NJ was a culture shock to me.  I'll be at the meet and greet with a good friend as my partner Christine is "over the pond" with her mother.  For those of you I've met I now have longer bleach blonde hair lol.  See you guys there, let me know if you need my cell number.

Broadway Diner sounds like a plan! Happy to hear Bob will be there with you Cathy. Glad he is feeling better.

Re: Red Bank NJ

I will be there! Looking forward to seeing everyone smile.

Re: Red Bank NJ

Broadway Diner is 45 Monmouth Street, Count Basie is 99 Monmouth. If anyone needs help getting there let me know.  The Red Bank train station of New Jersey Transit is in walking distance.  If you can't find off street free parking there is a municipal parking lot nearby.

Hey Alan, if it's okay I think we might be meeting at Jamian's Food & Drink instead. Menu looked a little more interesting. Real close to the theatre as well. Just didn't want you to go to the diner and wonder where we were. We'll probably be there around 4:30. Look forward to seeing you.

Re: Red Bank NJ

Cool, we'll drop by after the meet and greet

Re: Red Bank NJ

Oh my, what a fun show! Whole day started out great. Phil and I were sitting across the street from the theatre killing time before meeting up with Bill, Cathy & Bob and Joe's bus drives right by us. Joe was riding shotgun and when he saw us he waved at us smile The bus didn't park, but when on to some other location. Then the other bus arrived and we went over and saw Tal and Carmine and spoke with them a bit. They went on into the theatre and later Mats came out and we talked with him for a while. Cathy, Bill, Bob and JoeBeacon showed up and we hung out for a while outside the theatre talking, and then Derek walked by. There must not have been any way to get in except through the front door, lol. Later on, Joe came walking by. He said he was going to get some meatballs from the Italian restaurant on the corner, but he instead walked down the street and returned with some old tuning device that he said he haggled with the store owner over the price.  Bill went to get his wristband since he had a M&G and when he came back out he said he had an extra one and gave it to me smile Was totally not expecting to have a M&G with Joe again so this was a really cool turn of events! I went in with Bill and when it came to our turn, the first thing Joe said was "Nice video Natasha!" Well that certainly made me happy. He said he was really impressed with the sound quality and wondered what I used, so I showed him the little camera and he checked it out. I asked him if he had liked the "little guitars" I had made for him and he said "I love them! They are all spread out on my coffee table at home and there is a bottle of wine on one of them." Well, I have to say that made my day! Bill and I then left to go join Phil, Cathy & Bob for something to eat before the show.
The show was wonderful. We had front row and the stage was kind of high and there were a couple of monitors right in front of us so it was a little hard to film some songs. I decided to do just a few from the acoustic and only the ones of the electric of which I know Joe tends to come over to the side of the stage we were sitting at. Well, come over, he did, he was practically right up to the edge playing his solos right in front of us! It is so cool when he does that! The crowd was pretty well behaved. Joe had to shush them a little bit on the quiet part of "John Henry", and luckily they did finally shut up. Then at the very end of his solo something on stage made a really funny loud sound like a train and Joe cracked up laughing. He finished the solo, came up to the mic and said, "Who's ever taking the "L" train, the f*cking thing's here!" It was so funny and it was so cool to see Joe laughing and smiling about it. When Joe called the guys out to do their bow at the end, Tal carefully threw a drumstick to me and Joe came over, bent down and put the pick he just used on "Mountain Time" into Phil's hand. It was so nice of him to do that, really made Phil happy. We then left with Cathy, Bill & Bob and hung out for a little while at a bar nearby and talked about how great the show was and how cool it was to see Joe having a good time. It was such a great night and a super way to end our 6 show Spring Tour run. Thank you Joe!!!!!!!!

Re: Red Bank NJ

Really seems to me that "Blues Deluxe" has become the standout song of this tour. Every time Joe plays it, it just amazes me!

One of Outstanding Favorite Joe B songs ever for myself (goin' waaaaayyyy back, back, back, it's outta the park, man I pray and lust for for a listen to some old Clifton Park board tapes... yikes cool).  I am pleased as punch it is back in rotation again.  Lucky for audiences, both those old and (especially) new! The guys smoke it to the unfiltered end.  Natasha, I don't know if Joe was referring to the Syracuse Blues Deluxe or a blanket (deserved) compliment on your efforts' enjoyability factor(s), but that was super to hear that from him, eh?! cool Everybody loves and appreciated what You & Phil have been doing in incredible fashion and accomplishment(s). Thank-you so much!!!

I tried commenting on that SYR BD immediately because it was so doggone good! Some damn problem with YouTube.  At least I could repeat watch.  I'll have a more reserved commentary, hopefully speaking justice to it eloquently...or not due to tongue twist tethering to teeth.  Ithaca 2011 several of us there and even not there thought it best ever.  No doubt this is way up there.  FACTS FOR FOOLS: Joe Bonamassa delivers this song most impassioned, in my opinion, when in New York State.  Somewhere.  Anywhere.

Meanwhile, the world fantasizes with Rocket for that Jeff Beck-Joe Bonamassa duo duet duel do all!!!!!!!!!!!! Gimme the drooling smiley pie guy! tongue
