Topic: Peoria Illinois April 22nd

Just looked on Ticket master and there are a lot of seats left for this show . I bought my tickets the day of the Pre sale and got second row. Im so happy to be able to get such good seats . But I sure hope Joe doesn't take it in the shorts on this one . In one hand nice to get such easy access to great seats but it distracts from the show ( my opinion only ) when it doesn't sell out or at least come close . Im hopeful people will fill the civic center . I don't know how they figure Joe's schedule but I saw him in Minneapolis and Rockford last spring and both shows SOLD OUT . Saw him in November 2013 in Knoxville not sold out . I wanted to take my family to see him in Minneapolis this spring and it wasn't on the schedule , neither was Chicago which Joe always sells out . Come on folks , get on he bandwagon and support this tremendous band . If not don't be surprised if Joe starts picking the cities that support him . that's what I would do . I tried to get tickets to Nashville and it sold out so fast I couldn't get them . He could do back to back shows in Chicago and sell them both out . So the point of all this rambling is , I hope Joe pays attention to the towns that support him Chicago , Minneapolis for example and forget the ones that don't. Your in demand Joe, that's a good thing . This great band deserves to see packed houses and its an embarrassment when they don't get the support . I saw a guy on facebook complain about $ 75.00 for a ticket in Peoria . Are you kidding me ?  You get what you pay for and I always leave a Bonamassa show saying  " it was worth every penny " .

Re: Peoria Illinois April 22nd

I'll be at the Peoria show. Was able to get front row from the pre sale. I also just looked on Ticketmaster and was shocked to see second row still available. They must have just released those seats.

Re: Peoria Illinois April 22nd

Some dates are chosen to coincide with a local PBS promotion that that tend to give ticket sales a boost. Some shows are just forays into new markets. It is a big country to conquer and in certain areas he has won the markets over however as Joe has always been willing to do he is still breaking new ground in new markets.

I grabbed the 2 second row seats.  The 6 they had in row CCC are now gone.  It's going to be my first time seeing Joe.

Maybe Joe comes to Peoria just so he can go by Maui Jim's HQ.

Re: Peoria Illinois April 22nd

Hey JJ , Im in the second row too . My seats are 6 and 7 I think .  Your gonna love the show . I see Joe at least twice a year and never get tired of it . Lots of energy , vintage guitars , great lighting , oh and did I say GREAT MUSICIANS .

Hey Joe , Im still waiting to see you come out in a Zebra pattern suit . If the suit is to big a leap , how about at least a Zebra pattern shirt or socks. Just trying to get you to come out of your shell . hehehe

Yeah and I'll be seated somewhat near Flatsman.  Any idea if it's ok to bring a point and shoot camera?

Point and shoot should be no problem. See the new photo policy in the "Cool Pictures" section.

Re: Peoria Illinois April 22nd

I'll be at the Peoria show and still, unfortunately, plenty of tickets are left as of Sunday night (more on that in a sec).
First time I saw Joe was about 2010 in Peoria. Went in knowing nothing about the man and left wanting to know everything about him. Didn't pay much attention to the crowd and didn't care. Just soaked in the moment.
Saw him again here in 2012 and was disappointed in the attendance and how dead the crowd was (in fact, I wrote a scathing review on here about how poor the crowd was).
He didn't come back in 2013 and I figured, "Well, that's the end of his Peoria days."
Surprisingly he decided to come back in 2014 but ticket sales, to me anyway, are flat.
Flatsman, I agree with everything you said. If Peoria won't support him, Joe needs to put Peoria in his rearview mirror...either that or become a country act ;-)
Hope there's a big walk-up crowd for Tuesday but I'm not counting on it.
P.S. Joe, if you're reading this, Big Al's has moved. ;-)

Re: Peoria Illinois April 22nd

I will also be at the Peoria show and checked earlier today to see how many seats were left and was shocked at how many there were. I saw him at the Chicago Theater last may and it was a sold out show! The great thing about Joe is I know he will still play his heart out and put on a great show for 10 people to 8000! I seriously can't wait! 2 Days!

Re: Peoria Illinois April 22nd

Pockets empty, but even after just seeing Joe in Davenport, Iowa, on Saturday, April 19, 2014, I would go again and see him.  Sure, it would be the 7th time, but as I always say, "You can never get enough Joe!"  Davenport sold out, so I'm hoping Peoria does too.  You street team guys have an advantage by getting out all day today and tomorrow to help it sell out.  As he sold out in Davenport, there was no need to hand out the last 50 or so cards I had.  The Meet and Greet was fantastic, and Joe even gave me a pair of the sunglasses he sells out of his merchandise table after I asked him why he didn't throw out his sunglasses anymore  ("too expensive" at $500 a pop and I add especially as he not only supports all his road team, and his regular band members but now also the acoustic guys).  If anyone has a ticket to give away (yeah, ha, ha) I'll come to Peoria and see Joe for the 7th time!  Gotta love Joe!

Re: Peoria Illinois April 22nd

I am amazed by Joe Bonamassa every time I see him . The seats last night were off the hook . Second row just left of center stage.  Sat next to and met JJ from the forum . He was shooting lots of video . What a F@@@@@ng band .  This is rock and roll as it was meant to be . What an incredible band.  I hope the band had as much fun as we did . TREMENDOUS , thank you to the entire band . The whole organization from the band on down is as professional as they can be . I have been to 8 shows now and there hasn't been a single glitch . That doesn't happen by mistake . Keep having fun guys , you should know the fans are.
