Alright Marianne!  Brad Paisley made your list.  He is an underrated guitarist in my opinion.  An amazing guitarist!

Hell yeah, Brad Paisley is awesome.  If anyone doubts his blues/rock/country guitar mastery, check out his tune "Time Warp".

Re: Favourite Guitarists

Heard him on the radio a lot during our trip. The only radio stations we could receive in the car were country and they played Brad many times. Already knew his music a couple of years.
Really like his latest album.

Re: Favourite Guitarists

Wow, so many to choose from, but the most influential to me (in no particular order). I drift in and out between the current GODZ!! like Joe, and my old school faves like Zakk and George Lynch. Eddie will always remain at the top (sorry Joe - no disrespect at all to you, it's just that Eddie's my man!!!). Currently, it's the "heavy" blues player, of which Joe and Gary Moore rule the roost for me right now. Here's the list:

1)Edward Van Halen (re-wrote the book by which all standards are compared to now, IMHO)
2)Randy Rhoads
3)George Lynch
4)Zakk Wylde
5)John Sykes
6)Gary Moore
7)Eric Clapton
8)Joe Bonamassa (the new KING!!!)
9)Joe Satriani
10)Ian Moore (older stuff)
11)Stevie Ray Vaughn
12)Eric Johnson
13)"The Reverend" Billy Gibbons
14)Kenny Wayne Sheppard
15)Jimmy Page
16)Jimi Hendrix

I could go on forever.........

So many masters to learn from. How can you ever get bored!!!!

Re: Favourite Guitarists

- Chuck Berry (who else?!)
- Black Stripes (a very talented and sexy axewoman)
- Angus Young
- Uli Roth (ex-Scorpions, ex- UFO)
- Michael Schenker (ex-Scorpions)
- Ilham Al-Madfai, a great friend of mine....it's a loooooooooong story....(the very first Irachen (indeed the very first in the Arab world) to pioneer Arabian-Western style crossovers since the 60s!!)(www.ilhamalmadfai.com)
