Believable.......But I don't want to.

2 months ago it was reported that they'd be in the studio in May.

Re: AC/DC To Retire?

loads of reports flying around but as far as I can tell no official ones yet. This one states that Malcolm had a stroke a short while ago:

Not sure if this is true or not. I hope it's not, but health does come first if it's true.

Hope it's just a bunch of rumors. That's one band I have not seen live yet, that I would like to see.

Maybe around the campfire.  I doubt they will enter a studio without the "RIFFMAKER".

Re: AC/DC To Retire?

I suspect that the news going this way and that with even the official statement being ambiguous means that the band themselves are not sure what the next step is. A great personal tragedy for Malcolm if as it sounds like he is incapacitated in any way.

If they never make another record or play another live show they still go down in rock history forever.

So true.
They also put the musical hook in me 1978 (POWERAGE / IF YOU WANT BLOOD) at age 14.
The first band I ever saw live....... July 23rd of '78 to be exact.

Re: AC/DC To Retire?

Love these guys....saw them twice live, once in the 70's once in the 80's.

Best no nonsense rock band ever.....you know what you are gonna get, and you always get it.

They were the opening act for Van Halen, Pat Travers, Foreigner, and Aerosmith. Day on the Green @ the Oakland Coliseum. Just another reason to grow up in the Bay Area!!!

Summer of '69, had my license for all of 4 months and my Mom would let me borrow her Olds Delta 88 and we'd load about 7 of us in that boat and off to The Fillmore West. Wild & crazier times FoSho!!!

Re: AC/DC To Retire?

These guys can't sit down. If Malcom comes back I'm sure they'd keep going. If, god forbid, he passes away or doesn't bounce back, it will be interesting to see what their next move is.

Ask me about my handwound Great Lakes Guitar Pickups
Since 2010, Bonamassa fans have taken advantage of my JB friend discount = my cost + shipping. cool

Re: AC/DC To Retire?

my understanding is that if any one of them cannot go on with the band, for whatever reason, that it is all over, they will close it down for good.
