Topic: Tommy Emmanuel.....
Just bought tix to see the Australian guitarist.....saw him on PBS a month ago...and see he is appearing at a rather intimate venue in a rural area of NJ in August.....has anyone out here in Bonaville seen him live?

I've seen him three times, all in the last 4 years or so. Tommy is fantastic live! Besides being an absolute brilliant guitar player - easily the best acoustic guitarist I've ever seen - he's a wonderful entertainer. It can't be easy to be on stage all by yourself for two hours and keep the audience enthralled, but Tommy can do it. He does it by mixing different styles, great pacing, maybe a couple cool stories and just a real infectious positive attitude!

Ironically, the show you saw on PBS was filmed here in San Diego, at the Balboa Theatre, just 1 or 2 days before Joe Bonamassa's show at the same theatre, that I believe you attended here February 2011 . 
I really wanted to see him. Unfortunately for me at the time, I could only get Friday off for Joe that year. He's been back here and will be back here, some connections locally. That is a highly entertaining PBS show he did. KPBS locally was behind the whole thing.
