Re: 2024 Major League Baseball season
Oh that is good news on the cable. I never had to go through a blackout and don't want to contemplate having to go through one.

Especially since I loved to listen in on AM with Jerry Coleman doing the color and pbp. Now he's passed and the replacements just don't have that old familiarity. Anyway, Play Ball!
J Dawg sends his regards, I just had to email him since it's been a while. He is AOK and taking a break from the forum. as usual he says "go Tribe and viva Gigantes".
Well, it is that time of year. We have the Fargen Doyers in town and our Texas cowboy ace Cashner, he of the 100mph heater, will be bringing some good old country hardball for them to try on for size.
PLAY BALL!
Rick
edit: What a great start. 1st place and I better enjoy it while it lasts. Roughed up The Beard and had a winner. Cashner was looking good. 95-97 two seamer with a nice biting 85 slider had them whiffing.
what goes around comes around, right Rick? http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/no-v … ers-040114
Braves looked good last night whipping the Brewers at their place, after our #1 starter lost on opening day (dead bats, not his fault). I'm very encouraged by the way Danny Uggla is hitting the ball. He had 2 doubles last night, but still scorched the ball on outs in play.

After a two year blackout for me, I can feel for them, even if they are Dodgers fans.
A good game last night, had the Casey situation bottom of the ninth, but he whiffed. Oh well. it's a loooong season, and it's nice to see our team competitive. The new acquisition Smith has two dingers in two days.
Great showing by the Crew's Ryan Braun last night; spoiling the Phillies' home opener by homering three times and driving in seven runs

He did nothing against the Braves when we were there, roids must have finally kicked in last night. What a total loser/liar, although I do believe in second chances.

There you go 2014!!
There you go 2014!!
Hey stranger! Great to see ya back here again.
Baseball season and we can start the crying. My Padres resemble a M.A.S.H. unit.
Rick.
There you go 2014!!
Whattup compadre! I assume you are referring to the fact that it's an even numbered year, like 2010 and 2012? The Giants like even numbered years lately and having one of the best records in baseball currently doesn't hurt none either.
Viva Gigantes y Shredito!!!

OK Randu! The A's are rollin' too, but will they do more than just GET to the playoffs? It's been 25 years since they closed the deal. Good luck to them and the Giants, I'd love to see another Bay Bridge Series.....sans earthquake!!!!!!
Viva Gigantes!!!

Tim Lincecum pretty much cemented his legacy in Giants history yesterday. Just when you think he's losin' it he shines on! At just 30 years of age he now has 2 Cy Young Awards, 2 World Series Rings, and 2 No-Hitters within 1 calendar year against the same team no less! That's pretty lofty company to keep. I'm just wondering what else he has in store for his faithful Giants fans?
Let Timmy Smoke!!!
J Dawg
Jdawg, I never though he was losing it, just a little losing here and there...
Speaking of UP there, I think we're overdue for another Earthquake Series?! That new Bay Bridge needs a real trial run, too.
Of course this is sensitive, I AM joking, I don't hope for any EQ or damage beyond cross bay causeway competition.
Rock ON, GO OAKLAND & Giants Two Gather,
Rocket
There is no crying in baseball, except when the game and fans say goodbye to the legends...
Tony Gwynn sent off last night in San Diego with a dignified, yet reserved memorial service. It should've been on a weekend.
Timmy can't crow too loudly with the no hitters considering the recipients. These chumps couldn't hit their way out of a paper bag. I'm hitting a game in the next series down here JDawg. I'll put the hex on em.
