Re: Why I love Joe

I really don't know of many celebrities who would go out of their way for their fans the way he does. I"m sure some do but it's still a rare thing

What a great video of a teenage Joe.  I love seeing how he has progressed.  Another reason I love him is how hard he has worked to get where he is today.  Thanks Ruby.

Re: Why I love Joe

I could be reading him wrong and God only knows he could have bodies in his basement LOL , but to me, he comes across as kind of a goofy, nerdy kind of sweet guy.

Re: Why I love Joe

Like he says in all his interviews, he's just a guitar /gear head at heart

Re: Why I love Joe

Wow really getting excited for the upcoming shows in Lexington and Nashville.  In honor of the upcoming shows I decided I would go back and listen to Joe's recordings by year.  I  made it to 2009 yesterday.  Joe I love your music.  There is such a variety of songs in all these early albums.  The originals plus the covers are such a wide range of choice.  Perhaps this is why I love your music so much.  There was hard rock, romantic love songs, funny country songs, saddest blues you can imagine.  Wow,  cant wait for the 2010 to 2014 music today.

And still I can say nothing not one of these albums is as good as seeing Joe perform live.  Watching him upclose and personal you realize how much heart and soul he puts into his vocals and guitar playing.  Thanks Joe you are tops in my book.   Only 16 days.   woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!! tongue

Re: Why I love Joe

Why I love Joe, oh let me count another way!!!!! tongue Only two days until I see Joe for the Fourth and Fifth times in Lexington and Nashville.  Thank you Joe for giving this crazy lady something positive to think about during a time of stress and pain. Sweet Hubby is retiring this week, I know crazy.  But then  he is starting a new part time Job next week.  Lots of unknowns and changes coming up.  Been pretty stressed out. Plus my old back is been acting up and going to physical therapy is no fun.  Through out all of this all I have to do is put on some of Joe's music and I feel much better. So the mini road trip, Bonamassa style will for sure help both of us feel better.  Also looking forward to some good southern food in Nashville.

See you in a few days Joe.  I am third row at Rupp, I am the one with that goofy grin!

Re: Why I love Joe

WV, I hear you! I"ve got herniated discs so I feel your pain.

I"m going through a bit of a cancer scare myself now......scheduled for two lumpectomies in 10 days and scared shitless. Joe's soulfull music and lyrics will help me get through it as I listen to my ipod on my way to work and have it wafting through the speakers at my desk.

Music can really soothe your soul. Thank you Joe a million times over!

Re: Why I love Joe

Man oh Man just read Natasha's review of the NJ show and watched that version of Blues Deluxe.  Love Guitar rotation Joe is doing on this tour. One of the reason's I love Joe and his music is how it touches us the fans.  So it does not matter what critics say or casual fans.   For the lucky few who totally get that feeling from one of his shows it is just the best thing ever.  Like eating Dark Chocolate and Ice Cream at the same time.

Joe totally digging this amped up version of Blues Deluxe.  Everytime I think You can't do it better, hah,   You just do it again.
Thanks so much Joe.  Need to change my signature to say  Joe brings Joy everytime......:)

Re: Why I love Joe

As a guitar player myself, what grabbed me first was his guitar tone. Then it was his overall playing ability. Then it was the way he handles himself on stage, he's not a peacock (look at me! look at me!) I also dig the fact that he's not just a guitar player, but he's a guitar geek and collector. I've always favored Les Pauls, and Joe has the ones that make me drool. Then I watched some interviews and realized that he's just an all around good guy who hasn't let things go to his head. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting him yet, but I will in November when he comes to town.

Glad you will get to meet him up close and personal.  I think you summarized it well. He seems to be a normal dude, guitar geek and prodigy all rolled into one.

Hope you get to see that new Black Les Paul.  Out of this world

I should have said Hope you see the Black Burst new to Joe's Guitar rotation.    The perfect description sweet Rocket,  "Soul Tonic"  That is what Joe is all the time.

Re: Why I love Joe

I love his kind of cool appearance with conservativeness.
He´s no excessive poser. He plays with soul and joy. That authenticity is missing on other guitarist.
