Re: Led Zep plus Jason Bonham to reunite in London in November?!

I deleted my post concerning Led Zeppelin, so I hope you'll all get over it. My reasons for the post are personal and way too sensitive to be discussed on this forum. Nuff Said?????

I sure hope they play in the states.  I think they will sound great.  Robert has adjusted to his older, yet still very powerful voice.  JPJ was at Bonaroo a few months ago and played with 4 or 5 different bands, including Gov't Mule.  He was the highlight of the entire festival IMO.  Page has Silver/white hair now and will look like a wizard onstage without even trying.  Exciting times for Led Heads like myself.

Re: Led Zep plus Jason Bonham to reunite in London in November?!

Just received an email saying that I had "won the lottery" and can purchase my tickets for the 11/26 Led

Zep show in London. Tix are expensive, but we found a cheap flight, so the whole thing should be more

than worth it! A lot of hype, I know, but its (allegedly) a once in a lifetime thing...They'll probably

announce a world tour after this, but what the hell, WE'RE GOING!!!! (And Jason Bonham's on drums!!!)

Re: Led Zep plus Jason Bonham to reunite in London in November?!

WOW...lucky you...I'm sure it will be memorable!

Oooooooohhhhhh maybe I'm just a tad envious.  Lucky you.  Enjoy - it should be one heck of an experience.

Re: Led Zep plus Jason Bonham to reunite in London in November?!

Wow, you're one lucky individual.  If you go to the led-zeppelin.com forums, there haven't been many winners there yet.

A lot of die hard Zep fans are upset about this lottery set up.

Re: Led Zep plus Jason Bonham to reunite in London in November?!

Congrats Panini , I hope it's worth the small fortune it's going to cost you. This reminds me of " The Who " 1982 Maple Leaf  Gardens - Toronto    I flew from Boston under the assumption this would be their last ever show (as advertised )  it was even on pay per view HBO . Needless to say its 25 years later and they've played hundreds of shows since. Can you say ripped-off ,( Well not really I won the tix off then WCOZ in Boston including plane fare. hotel, limo.and spending money ) But I  was still dissapointed when they got back together and started touring. Your probably right Panini I smell a world tour coming from this   " one nite only concert " For that reason I didn't even bother to register for the lottery.  How disapointed will people be after spending big money to get to London only to find out their coming to their area on a future date ? Led Zepplin should do the right thing , either   1. Announce world tour plans before selling the London show, or  2.  Play just this show and call it a career . Ripping off fans in the name of charity is no excuse    I agree with Rocket they should also pay homage to the old blues musicians they've made thier living off of . Give Robert Johnson and others the credit they deserve... Just my 2 cents          Paul/JBrules

There will be no 2008 summer tour for Zeppelin since Robert Plant has already committed to touring with Allison Krauss to promote their new upcoming album.

Sometimes in life you just gotta' say "What the f*&%$".
We're going for it. Calculated the costs, and given the "value of the experience", its priceless. We don't feel like we're being ripped off. If we got there and it sucked, well that would be a different story!!!
Can't look at it in a negative way.

Re: Led Zep plus Jason Bonham to reunite in London in November?!

If Jason's going to be on that tour, how cool would it be to have JB open up for LedZeppelin? That shouldn't be hard to work out, would it???

All I know is, if I had been selected in that lottery, I wouldn't have been able to go. Why register then? Make mucho jack off ebay with them suckers!

It looks like the opening song will be the first song on Led I--Good Times Bad Times smile

Definitley a cool opener

Re: Led Zep plus Jason Bonham to reunite in London in November?!

Jason was quoted in a mag and gave up this much...also, likely to play Kashmir and Stairway.  If I find where I read it, there was something else...

Re: Led Zep plus Jason Bonham to reunite in London in November?!

ALERT, ALERT, ALERT.....

Last night my son got an email that he has been selected to purchase tickets.  We had until the 25th of October to make up our minds.  Well didn't take long, we are going!!!  Got two tickets in the upper level Row A.  Looks like decent seats.

Should be a whirlwind experience.... I'm Dazed and Confused.....
