Thanks!
I got mine today:) have not been able to test it propably, just for an hour or so. But so far i think this is the best overdrive pedal ive ever played. The respons and sound in this pedal is insane. The dynamics is extremely good to. And when you turn a knob on it, the sound changes at once. It contains a wide specter of sounds. I will hopefull put up some clips on youtube for you to see in near future:)
It better sound the best for what they cost!
Just tweaking you
Anxious to hear more clips of these as people get them.
Ordered mine yesterday.
Peter notified me that it is on its way
Well I received the Royal Overdrive Today. I have a very busy weekend so I will not get to try it until late Sunday.
Cheers Ron
So, here is a sound sample that i did quick today with the royal overdrive. The pedal is a monster, and sounds damn good. Not the best sound in the video but ok. The pedal contains tons of gain, and in this clip i set the gain 2,5 - 3 so there is loads more gain to add.

Got mine last weekend - can't wait to try it in "PlayItLoud" mode
What was your view, Ron?
wondering if any of you guys with this pedal have plugged into a marshall amp. also would be interesting to see a gut shot of it. just wondering if it is all gooped up or not. don't worry i am not a cloner or electronics dude. i just like looking at circuits.
This is unlike any pedal I've ever played, really. It's absolutely amazing. The responsiveness is unlike any pedal. I've had mine for 6 weeks now and I'm still amazed. Well worth the asking price. And to all the skeptics, if you can get a Tubescreamer to sound or respond like this, more power to ya!
I am not a skeptic in the sense that the pedal does not sound good. From all the unfortunately awful demos I have seen, it does sound good. Of course, much like a Klon or a Dumble, demos and such may not do it justice until you get to plug a guitar inot it and take it for a spin.
I am however skeptical when a builder says "all original" when in reality most, if not all overdrives out there are some variation of: a tube screamer, a RAT, or the Electra distortion. I am also OK with people forking over big bucks for it and falling in love with it, as these things are quite personal and who am I to criticize.
I just want to know what's under the hood as I don't believe in "magic mojo" anything.
Reviving an old post... I have a Royal Overdrive on it's way this week. Just interested to know what other owners are playing through and if you have 'tried and tested' base settings...?
this is the first bad demo of the pedal. i thought the samples sounded pretty good up until this:

maybe these guys just don't know how to set it up, but it sounds so buzzy and fizzy. ok final edit: it does get better and sounding good by the end.

This is the very pedal I now own... I've watched the clip a few times now and I think they more demonstrate the pedals versatility to match different guitar and amp combinations rather than picking a guitar and amp and fine tuning the pedal for that perfect tone.
I'm not a million miles away from the tone I want, just needs that little touch hear and there to become that certain something special...
