Re: NCAA Basketball
Yes Angela, that was a game for the ages. I didn't want it to end it was so good. It looks as though we all should be shooting for different bracket seeds so there will be a possible head-to-head meetup in the sweetness zone come March. Aztecs have one flaw that may bite them. The team comes out cold shooting too often. Their strength is really the very tough D they play and the way they dominate the boards at both ends. There are a couple of youngsters that are prone to stupid moves as well. Still a lot of games to come so a bit too early yet for crystal ball peering. I'm also waiting for RikEmmetFan to chime in. UNLV has been sputtering this season but are strong. It is a tough conference and a lot of parity has evolved. It has been a great season with some very good games every week. Rocket is biding his time. I think he is superstitious and posting may be a jinx. (I'll ask him this week if I see him at The Spud. I'm still schlepping his BonaVegas Pahrump Joewine around trying to give it to him.)

edit: Wow, biggest comeback in Coach Fisher's career. Down 14 at altitude in Boise with the crowd going wild sensing a huge upset. Aztecs sucked it up, D started the shutdown with blocks and steals, X got hot and started to put them in, and with 4 seconds to go he ran in on the pick and roll, the Boise D collapsed to stop him and he fed a wide open Polee who canned the trey ftw! Darned exciting ballgame. I thought they were done for with 8 minutes to play.
