Ron,

Besides me there is my wife and my 13 year old son going to his first show although he has been hearing about Joe since SILT came out. Also there are 3 other bona buddies going as well. We are fellow granite staters too!

I hope to be at the show as it will be my first Joe show and the first concert I've been to in about 15 years.

I was invited to come and bring a friend.   I have no idea where I am sitting but I think something to do with gold seats. 
When I got the invitation from Joe's Foundation I nearly fell out of my chair!  I thought they were joking but they weren't.

I really, really hope I get to go but I may not be able to due to medical issues on the home front. My mom was diagnosed with ALS in November and she hasn't been doing well as of late.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed though and hope to be able to run into some of you.

Just confirmed with KTBA that I'll be at the show with a friend and doing the M&G.

I'm excited and nervous at the same time.  I've never been to a M&G so does anyone have any tips? I don't know what to expect.  To be honest, I'm so shy that I'm hoping I can at least manage to say more than "hi" to Joe.  :-)

I could give you some tips but once you see Joe your mind will totally go blank! I was worried that I wouldn't know what to say, but when the time came I just started blurting out things and I honestly don't remember half of it haha! He's super laid back to talk to so don't stress over it too much smile

I always get tongue-tied whenever I have met Joe. I never end up saying what I plan to say and always feel kind of stupid with whatever I am saying. However the good thing is that Joe usually does most of the talking and is very laid back so try not to stress too much about it smile

I was thinking of giving him a copy of the letter that I had sent which ultimately caused me being invited to the show.
I doubt he saw it or maybe he has as I was told by his happy helpers they would tell him about it.

I doubt I could verbalize what's in the letter without tears starting, then again I'd probably go blank anyway if I tried. HA HA

A pallet of Goldfish and a promise "and we'll break it down, and get it loaded up on the truck for ya..." wink

How many at a meet and greet for Joe? Not sure of the policy these days, but quite a few used to be the norm.  A lot of factors used to come into play, like how many people asked, asked again, or are (repeatedly) asking, how big the throng almost bending in the front doors in very early in the day, Bonamassamania-style, is...suffice to say expect it short and sweet. wink

The M&G went well for the most part except for when the moment set in that I was standing right next to Joe and my brain shouted "OH MY GOD IT'S JOE AND HE SHOOK MY HAND!"

I had a minor brain cramp but it went well.  In the end I had him sign the letter his foundation sent me.  He read the letter quickly and it definitely took Joe by surprise, so much so he shook my hand twice!

My friend who was getting her first introduction to Joe's music last night said to me after the acoustic set - "Forget Joe even though he looks like Leonardo DiCaprio, I'm totally in love with that Gerry guy."

We had so much fun last night as it was certainly a cast of characters in the audience.  I don't think I've ever seen such a diverse crowd at a concert.

Anyway, I had a smile on my face the entire time and was happy to have been able to go and experience what I did. It was amazing and certainly will never forget it.

OMG Sirona, I love it! You described it all perfectly! And the brain shouting thing doesn't go away after the first M&G either smile I've talked with Joe a number of times, but I think at every one of them my brain's shouting "I'M TALKING TO JOE! OMG I'M TALKING TO JOE!" No wonder I always get tongue tied with all that shouting going on big_smile
