Topic: Musicians Institute/Norman's Rare Guitar Benefit Show 1/11/14

It was an amazing show this weekend with many artists playing all different types of music for nearly 5 hours.

Here are the three songs that Robben Ford did. Unfortunately the show ran late. Both he and Joe were scheduled to have 40 minutes each, but instead they each only had 20. It was too bad because we all would have liked to see longer performances form both of them.

"Freedom"

"Cannonball Shuffle"

Next up will be Orianthi with Richie Sambora

First song is "Lovin' Cup", which I believe is a Paul Butterfield cover, and the third song is "Cannonball Shuffle".

The second song is Freedom from the 1997 album called Tiger Walk. Before there was Joe all I had was Robben. So any other questions. I'm here for you Natasha.

John Jorgenson was a guitarist I had never heard of, but wow, could he play. He did an amazing rendition of George Harrison's "Love You To", an original piece "Wandering Boy" and an instrumental interpretation of "Run" by Snow Patrol. He played a guitar that reminded me of Joe's "goldie", but believe it or not it was even more sparkly

Del Casher the inventor of the wah-wah pedal performed one song, "Dark Eyes". He said he first performed this song on the Lawrence Welk show when he was 19 smile

"Lovelight"

I don't know the name of this one:

Grant Geissman performed a really jazzy set of three songs. I filmed two. First one is an interpretation of the Beatle's song "Norwegian Wood"

This one sounds very familiar to me, but I can't recall the name. Any help would be appreciated

Jimmy Vivino opened the show with two songs

"Leave My Girl Alone"
http://youtu.be/g2WaPfyYkmw

"What Do I Have To Do To Prove My Love To You"
http://youtu.be/YwgZunmg2Sk

And then he was joined by Tony Galla for two

"When Love Comes To Town"

And what Tony Galla referred to as the James Brown, Luciano Pavarotti version of "It's A Man's World". This was a really great rendition of this song
