Michael, first time I heard of Winehouse was on Strat Pack; then saw her on a few direct tv  music shows.   Alot of the best blues artists have that heroin addiction; has killed a bunch too.  But ya know, 30 some years back; I was in army in asia and I chipped away some myself; that was when I first started listening to the blues.    Never messed with addictions after that but it really got me into the blues for the rerst of my life.   Hope Amy Winehouse gets it right.
