New album coming May 15th.

Been burned by Carlos before.

Why don't we eliminate all the warning labels and let things sort themselves out?

Just saw him this week on DWTS.  Gotta say, I was a little disappointed.  Solo work seemed kinda choppy and his tone was a little harsh.  Probably too extreme a word, but to the buttery feel he normally exudes.  Bruno and I both gave him 8s.  wink

Carlos has always been a fav of mine but its not always a sure thing with his albums,so I 'm with Guido on this one.

I have really disliked every Santana offering from Supernatural onwards.   All this duets, pop songs, standard Carlos fills and little or no passion/excitement or soul.  His live shows have also been pretty boring.


The new album is dedicated to the cause of the American Indian  (is that politically correct?)

Here is a track and If this is a true example of the album, then it marks a return to some sort of form.   I really like it and am very surprised at that !!

Thanks Hulldan for posting that.I love that track.Hope the whole cd is as good.I think the last Santana cd I really loved is Milagro.Here's hoping.
