Re: Santa Barbara roll call!
RickB wrote:No hassle at all. I got all but the Mountain Time encore when the last bit my last battery gave out Shot from ground zero thanks to Skamokawa. Joe was extra good tonight. He seemed fresher and the show was perfection. Lindy Lu came down and sat next to me when the two dudes at dead center got up and left in the middle of the acoustic set. I guess they were expecting hip hop? She shot a ton of vids too.
A great hang with the BonaSpuds preshow and after. Crowd was great and the venue was beautiful.
Headed down the home stretch as is our guitar hero.
Tal handed Lindy Lu a stick and shook our hands, Joe smiled and tossed me a golden pick. Priceless memories.

Here you go Rocket, and all you other fine peeps.
Athens to Athens. Last song of the acoustic set. http://youtu.be/QfGTErUloTg"Athens To Athens!" Dang, I love this song. I love every way it has been performed by Joe, from "Black Rock" in the Santorini, Greece studio with Manolis Karadinis (bouzouki) and Thanasis Vasilopoulos (clarino) to Montreaux, Vienna, and everywhere up to date! Definitely a favorite of mine. Very hard for me to have clear favorites with Joe's material, but this one rises up for me. Always. Thanks Rick.
Rock ON & Keep the Faith,
Rocket
Now you can enjoy the whole acoustic set. It was left to do the 5 hour upload this morning and should be up this afternoon. 45 minutes of uninterrupted goodness.
It came out to 48 minutes and change. It's a dang movie! Grab a beverage and some snacks, sit back and enjoy a front row seat in front of Joe doing his thing and thank Skamokawa for my opportunity to sit in his seat and shoot this. A Christmas gift to all you fans.
