Re: Why I love Joe
Couldn't have said it better Kenny!
" I just love where his musical journey takes me". It's as simple as that.
And it could be Europe, USA or Rest of World

Kenny that is about the best way to describe it. And what a Journey you have witnessed. Love it and Love Joe.
On the way to work this morning I was jamming out to Jimmy Barnes song, Flame Trees. Now I would have never found Jimmy and his wonderful band Cold Chisel if not for Joe. Another reason to post on Why I love Joe. I have discovered many new artist to listen to. Anthony Gnomes, Ryan McGarvey, Jimmy Barnes , Doug Henthorn just to name a few. Keep the love flowing Mr Bonamassa.
Have not added to this topic in a bit and wanted to say out loud, I LOVE JOE and his musical abilities. Getting really excited for all my bona-spud friends to post from the road all the Funky love they will find in LA in the upcoming days. This jazzy funky fusion of musical notes will leave us all breathless. Thanks to Joe and Tal for giving us all something to warm our hearts and souls during this cold winter of 2014.
I agree with this all 100% - I always felt kind of silly because I find I enjoy an artist's work more if they're a good person. Not just artists, any public figure really - athletes, actors, etc. Glad to know I'm not the only one who feels this way!
I feel the same way about performers.
I just discovered Joe four days ago! I happened to come across a concert on a music cable channel the other night. And my husband was astounded I had never heard of him. I grew up with the blues......in my younger days, I traipsed down to the Village to see Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, John Lee, Buddy Guy (I was all of 14) so I know the genre fairly well. How the hell did I miss him? LOL
Plus he seems kinda like a goofy nice guy too.
Well, now I"m a nut. I've ordered DVD's and about to put some tracks on my Ipod. I cannot believe the passion and vunerability he shows while playing and singing. Plus, hate to admit it, but I also think he's the hottest thing out there! .
hahaha Ruby, join the club!

Wow, I"m so glad to see I"m not the only chick who has the hots for him. LOL
without my long story for me it is simple "Joe saved my soul"
cheers to you Joe
forever grateful Ron
not trying to put words in your mouth but it made me think of the fact that there just may be as many man crushes for Joe out there as girlz????
Gee, you think?
Is it just me or does there seem to be very few women blues fans out there? I don't know any women who love the blues the way I do. Hey, I like Adele too but nothing matches the intensity and emotion that the blues conveys (except maybe Beethoven's 9th)
I'm like WTF?
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I ♥ Joe in part because he lets us post here even when we post something that only makes sense to ourselves ^^^^
in other words what you trying to say there Rocket?not trying to put words in your mouth but it made me think of the fact that there just may be as many man crushes for Joe out there as girlz????
If you got a smile on your face when yo think that...
Well, I dunno about the guys (excepting the gear geeks) but there's a large contingent of JBWPAS.

I found self confidence and belief in myself thru following Joe. No real way to describe the process, it just happened. Whether happy or sad Joe is available 24/7. I can never begin to thank Joe enough for all the times I have leaned on him thru his music. He means so many different things to so many people. I don't know if any of you remember the red YOU ARE LOVED buttons that were a promotional item for some jewelry store in the 70's but I think of that simple button from time to time and Joe could surely wear it

I find that music can be a great source of comfort....been there, done that.
Once again going through them and Joe's music and passion for it helps tremendously.....the blues can be sexy, emotional, cathartic and satisfying for the soul. I find great comfort in it .
Thank God for music but most especially for the blues.
Another reason I love Joe is that he has several songs that I consider perfect songs either for lyrics or musical content. Today I listened to 4 different versions of Around the Bend and they are just epic. My favorite is on Sloe Gin. Just love the mix of acoustic an electric on this song. This song can bring me to tears. Second Favorite version is the one from Vienna.
Also perfection no matter what version is Django. I know it was inspired by a violin piece to begin with but Joe has taken this sweet song and just made it his own anthem. No matter if he does it by itself or in the beginning of an encore like Mountain Time, it is sheer bliss to my ears. It is a rare and wonderful thing when you hear a song start and the entire audience holds their breath because they know the beauty to come.
So today I am thankful for Joe and his ability to make music sublime. Thank you JOE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ruby, I'm a female and a blues fan!! I just discovered Joe the other week, so I'm very new as well.
I'm new to blues as well, but I love Joe already!! Like everything i've heard so far. Love how you said the blues can be sexy, emotional, cathartic and satisfying for the soul. So right!!
Yah, I was going through some hard times and lost touch with music for a long time and Joe brought my love for music back so , for that , I'll always be grateful.
Music does soothe the soul . Thanks Joe

This is great....it is great for you Patty....that Joe's music was that important to you and that meaningful....that is very powerful.
It is also very meaningful to Joe, I am sure...for his music to be able to how that kind of an impact on somebody.
I have never met Joe....someday I really, really hope too.....one, because I just love his guitar playing and music so much....he honestly mesmerizes me......and two, because from all of the stories that I have read...he just seems like such a down to earth and honest individual, so much a class act.
I think it is great that you can find the kind of joy that you have, thru his music.
Just sitting here listening and watching Joe at the Albert in 2009 and reading these inspiring posts about how he has given something to us all through his music and you are all so right. I have not been so impressed with a musician for many years and having seen a number of interviews he has given he is such a humble guy and as he says just a guitar geek.
