Topic: New from Kansas City

Hi I'm new here! I've been listening to Joe since 2009 and am just so pleased to join his Street team and try and be a part of what he does. I don't play any instruments but I do sing my heart out to every song I listen to. I'm 34 so I'm just a little younger than him and I live in Kansas City where the blues is a huge part of our city. I'm really excited to help spread the word about Joe and his music here in KC. When those flyers hit my doorstep I'm going to plaster his name all over the city. I've never had the chance to see him live but next year I'm not going to miss it for the world even though its in Topeka:( he should always play downtown when he comes but whatever. Anyway just saying hi and where are my KC members at?

Welcome to Bonamassaville! I grew up in the Kansas City area, and blues music is indeed an important part of the city's cultural heritage. Glad to have you with us, and looking forward to reading more about your interest in Joe's music...

Re: New from Kansas City

Thanks! I'm really excited to start spreading the word about Joe and that blues music is still going strong even though its not on FM radio and we need to get it out to the new generation of kids.

Re: New from Kansas City

Dark Blues is a cool name. I recently saw a 2 cd set called Voodoo Blues. It was only about $8 but I bought Joe's Shepherd Bush dvd instead.

Years ago in the late 60's I hitchhiked around the US and some dudes in KC were very good to me. I always wanted to go back there (by car this time)

Thanks I'm glad everyone likes my user name. On all the car forums I'm on I'm known as Phantom because I blend into the streets in the day and hide in the shadows at night.
