Doh!  Now I gotta get the new one.  LOVE Robin Trower--one of my all time favs too.  Thanks for the info.

Re: Robin Trower

You might do a little research and/or read some reviews before picking this one up. If memory serves me correctly I read several reviews that took issue with the quality of the mix/production on Bridge of Sighs reissues with bonus tracks. I went the ebay route and picked up an original (used) BOS CD for $5 and change, and it sounds great. Just a thought...check Amazon reviews.

Re: Robin Trower

It's Guitar World not Guitar Player (dah)....I got the info from their web site...It does say the "bonus" tracks are from a live show...I can't remember the rest and my computer is "ill", so read the article. I do however believe that the remastered "Bridge of Sighs" is not what they are talking about, I think it's the bonus tracks..Have I confused you yet??lol.Cathy

Re: Robin Trower

Hey Roy,  I got the "Bridge of Sighs" tab book; I mean you'll never have that Trower sound; but it's not Eric Johnson either; pretty easy to pick up.   If ya want, I'll send it and some more caribou jerky.

Re: Robin Trower

Stu this WAS reissued before the turn of the century with live versions of 5 out of 8 cuts off the album: Day of the Eagle, Bridge Of Sighs, Too Rolling Stoned, Lady Love, Little Bit Of Sympathy...
So now it appears it is being RE-REISSUED again with BBC Sessions Live versions of:
Bridge of Sighs; In This Place; Alethea (Interestingly listed as recorded 3/74, as it was from For Earth Below, released the following year...love that lyric..."what seems so bad now, could easily change for the beht-tar"...; Little Bit of Sympathy; and also from For Earth Below: Fine Day; Confessin’ Midnight; It’s Only Money; Gonna Be More Suspicious.  I have BOS on cassette Stu, re-recorded (by me) with "love & care" on our vintage gear...hard to beat the quality...interesting to see if this reissue can!

Rock On & Keep the Faith,
Rocket

Re: Robin Trower

Roy,  we made a quick supply run on friday; our road closes in another week, lots of snow on summits already.  Nx nearest town is 185 miles away, so it's an all day trip to get back.  I had the boy with me, so I had him blast a young bull along road (kids just luv that kinda junk you know), got the wife to help me debone all the quarters this morn, and soaking in unc abes right now.  I'll send some early this week.

What I was talkin about was "Bridge of Sighs" tab book;  easy to pick up alot of the songs.  You play guitar some don't you?  Can make a copy for ya.

Make me copies of any Rory Gallagher you have.  I got a bunch of cd's from this Toronto guy , Jack De Keyzer; you might like his style too.

We run downriver and tore moose camp down this afternoon, getting cold out, can't shake that river wind chill; better head off to bed and get ready for football  in morn.  Did ya see the Ducks & Kings in London sat morn? Center Ice begins Oct 3rd.  Have a good night.
