Topic: Joe in Fayetteville, NC

We are at intermission in Joe's show. He's doing an amazing job of course!!  The crowd is rowdy (in a good way!) and Joe is responding to it!  This a beautiful thing, watching him.

Same acoustic set as in Roanoke on the 8th. And no broken string during Stones In My Passway! big_smile

Time for the electric fun!

I'm addicted.

Re: Joe in Fayetteville, NC

Joe said he didn't know where Fayetteville was.  Now he does.  We rocked!  And I am sure he will want to come back.  Did I say we rocked?

The two different sets gave something for everyone and we were in the aisles at the end.  What a show.  What a performer. What a musician.

I am a newbie but now I am hooked.

Welcome phillycheesesteak!  It was a great show!!  Glad you went and of course you got hooked. Joe has that effect on people. This is a wonderful place to feel at home with other BonaFans!!  Stick around and get to know us and maybe tell us how you found Joe.

Re: Joe in Fayetteville, NC

Joe finished out the electric set, including the same songs from Roanoke.
Sorry I don't have photos or vid--the camera on my phone just seems to take wash-out photos in all of those lights. The place, as phillycheesesteak put it, was ROCKING!  When Joe did the encore, people started moving forward, filling the aisles and any empty spaces so that there was a huge number of people right at Joe's feet. It was amazing to see.

When Joe started Mountain Time, I felt the stinging threat of tears. I wondered to myself, " just what is this about". It was silly. Was I teary-eyed because of the song, which I love?  Was it that it signaled the end of the show?  Or perhaps I was sad that my Bonamassa weekend was over and that I won't see him again until April?    I will have to live vicariously through those of you who will be seeing him in the near future.

I'm addicted.

Suzanne, I totally understand that teary eyed feeling.  I have been lucky enough to see Joe Three times in the past 18 months and always at the end no matter what the song I just get overcome with emotion.  I think part of it is the rush of seeing him and the magic he creates. The other part is knowing it is over so fast.  Thanks for sharing.

Thanks wvgirl.  I'm really grateful and lucky to have gotten to see him twice this past weekend, plus once last spring.  I'm feeling greedy for more Joe, I guess.  I haven't gotten the Tour de Force dvd set yet.  That'll fix me up for a while!!
