Topic: The Tour de Force is X-rated!

So Joe really does play dirty blues…

The postman delivered our copy of the Shepherd’s Bush Empire Tour de Force DVD today and insisted that my husband show his passport and fill in a lot of paperwork.  When asked why this was necessary, the postman told him the DVD had been rated ‘not suitable for minors under the age of 18’!! The postman kept a straight face, but his eyes said ‘you’ve been ordering porn, haven’t you, you pervert’.

Now we can’t wait to see what the band gets up to on stage to warrant an XXX rating! And will ‘The Beast’ be the only animal involved…?!

So I've now watched it and I have to say Joe looks pretty smokin' in his red shirt, while Carmine oozes his normal effortlessly cool sex appeal. Meanwhile, my husband sat there drooling over the semi-solids (but then at his age, that's about as good as it gets).

And as for the music - WOW! I would travel anywhere in the world to see Joe play a blues night like this. Pleeeeeese bring it to Europe in the spring, Joe. This DVD is going to get worn out pretty quickly. My personal second favourite in this series so far is the Albert Hall, with Hammersmith coming up a distant third and already getting shuffled towards the back of the shelf, apart from the truly stupendous Tea for One.

Still waiting for the Borderline to arrive - just have to try and figure out a way to get it past the censors and the postman's accusing gaze...

Funny, Shepherd's Bush is the only show I did not find ( mad ) available out and about searching yesterday!  Maybe they are getting those damnable warning stickers put on them here! tongue

Oh, well, kidding, and still questing.  Guess I best fork over more dough and get the deluxe super duper collectible supreme Official boxed-set sooner or later before anything makes a Ramone roll over in the grave-y happens with censorship. yikes lol Hey, tickets to get and use or donate!!! cool  More confusion.  Got to figure pay for first (thanks mucho, Tom-soon, before everyone's needy season expensives roll in wink) and then figure out if I can make it to Syracuse show at all in May (used to pray for those long projection dates, now it works the OTHER way, lol).

My box set came in a plain brown box marked only with  "Fulfillment Center". Yeah Baby!!! Ear and eye porn to the max and I am being fulfilled in every (well... most every ) way.
