Re: Hampton Beach Casino Tickets?

Maybe someday Joe will return to the beautiful Merrill Auditorium in Portland and we can avoid all of the inconveniences Club Casino brings.

I'm SOOO glad I didn't even attempt to get tickets to this show.

Re: Hampton Beach Casino Tickets?

I was trying to get in from work - slow computers kept me from getting anything (I would keep getting the someone else got those seats message - why do they let you get all the way to checkout and then tell me they are gone?) Then it wouldn't give me anything at all (and I don't think I was locked out because I tried later and could get in fine-just too many people at 10am I guess. Was only going for one as insurance because thank goodness a good friend was also trying and he managed to get decent seats for us.  The Hampton Beach PAY TO BELONG group got first chance yesterday and I imagined scarfed up some of the better ones.

There has to be something better.  I had no problems last week with Providence (which is not Ticketmaster).  J&R needs to finish reforming the music industry by taking over the ticket industry - lol.

P.S. Jane - no PBS involved in this one that I know of.

ok so I am in the system at exactly 10 am and ALLL of the Gold 1 and 2 sections say sold. So what is up with that? Last time I go to the casino ballroom. Clearly something is going on with holding seats. I am not surprised. Joe is above this place anyway. This place was here 40 yrs ago when I use to play here.

I hear ya Ron same thing for me! When I first went on I selected to pick my own seats. I found third row center but when I selected them a message appeared that since the site was so busy you could only use best available!! Amazing though how stubhub already has a bunch of AA and BB seats available. I did manage to beat the system a little by trying to get single seats. I ended up with AA1 and BB1-not ideal for my wife and I but then again not bad.

Hi frett2112
Glade you was able to score tickets. I gave up. I have front row pit for Providence and Conn so I am good with that.
Cheers Ron

I too was on at 10am sharp, after searching for where to insert the presale code, I got in and it looked like all the section 1 - 3 tickets were gone, only side table seats (total crap) showed as available.

I logged out, swore at the damn scalpers who must've swarmed in and gotten every seat, then decided to try again, only this time I let the system select the seats, it's now about 10:10am and by some miracle the system gets me gold section row BB seats.

I got the confirmation, rubbed my eyes and looked again to make sure I hadn't gone delusional.

This is not the first time I've had something like this happen on ticketmaster.

Thing I don't understand is why Joe is playing this venue, which is really pretty crappy.  How come no Boston date?  He's played the Wang the last two years and the Hanover Theatre in Worcester the year before, both are terrific venues.  Maybe he'll add a date for Bost/Worcester later?

Exact same thing happened to me.  Not sure how I got so lucky, but ended up in row DD seats.  Very confusing and painful process, but glad to get the tix.

Im from right around there, but missed his show last time (it was on my anniversary). Merrill is the home of one of the only 2 municipal pipe organs left in the US, which I'm a volunteer on the support group of. How cool would it be to have a guest player come in and play a gigantic pipe organ along with a blues show?

Probably a bit far fetched, but you never know. Its down for another year right now be taken apart and cleaned/tuned, but maybe someday. The municipal organist played at my wedding, I've been trying to get him to play Inna Gadda da Vida with me for years :-P

Two of the shows Joe has played here at San Diego are in old theaters with huge restored silent film organs. We also have the other municipal organ, The Spreckels with its own outdoor ampitheater and a paid municipal organist.  It would be very cool to have a guest organist play. I love it when that 32 ft. pedal rattles your teeth. smile

Thats the one, been there to visit! Ours is the Kotzschmar. But your weather is nicer ;-)

Like I said, maybe someday. Its one of my dreams to perform at Merrill and have someone play the Kotzschmar with me, but I'd love to see that happen in general with JB or another rock/blues player.

...sorry to distract from the Hampton subject, by the way. Carry on.
