Saw Robert Cray in Munich last week. There were about 1500 people there (standing room only). We stood next to the mixing desk and I have to say that the sound was excellent - crystal clear vocals and instruments.
There was a great atmosphere and Robert was on good form, joking with the audience. The band were excellent and there was a good selection of songs both old and new. All in all a great concert.
Here is the setlist:
I shiver
Poor Johnny
Right next door
Sittin' on top of the world
You move me
Won't be coming home
Your good thing is about to end
The road down
Don't you even care
Fine yesterday
Nobody's fault but mine
Chicken in the kitchen
What would you say
Forecast calls for pain
Hip tight onions
Deep in my soul
If I have any criticism it is that Deep in My Soul wasn't the ideal song to finish on - he could have picked something a bit more upbeat or better known, but it's a minor gripe...
Even fools say something worthwhile now and again
