Topic: Who's multi-lingual?

I've noticed the global growth of forum members and the lingual skills of some of you. Andre..I've noted 3 different ones for you..Very impressive! For me it's English and "truck driver"..(my parents were very proud)....Also, there was a reference made to an on-line translation site??...Anyway, I am glad that ,so far, we've been able to communicate! I hope we keep that happening.....Thanks, Cathy

Re: Who's multi-lingual?

Hallo Cathy,

With my native language Dutch it's four, but that is not so exceptional in Holland. When I went to highschool 40 years ago English, German and French were obliged. English is the international language so you don't forget what you've learned. I live 5 km. from the German border, watch German T.V. (Rockpalast!!), come very often there, so don't forget it either.
French is more difficult because I speak it not often enough so you forget it easier. But I have French friends in Strassbourg and go there every year and make a wine trip too.
, and I've been there many times on holiday. Wonderful country, like Germany.

So that's why.( but I'm sure I make many mistakes, specially in writing and typing, but the main goal of a language is that people understand eachother)
